This is the touching and heartwarming story about a young, learning-disabled girl, Yuuka Orihara, who is also a very talented sculptress. It it all starts when Yuuka's cousin, Ryo, enters one of Yuuka's works in a contest. Her sculpture wins first prize, and the art museum wants to be a part of the publicizing and developing of Yuuka's budding art career.

Into this picture enters a stoic reporter, Tooru Sawatari. Tooru works for a japanese tabloid, and his assignment is to interview Yuuka and to find out the true nature of her condition (which is something the art museum tries to hide from the public). Because of his tragic childhood (both his parents committed suicide and he was raised in an orphanage), many regard Tooru as "a man without love". He becomes deeply affected by Yuuka's natural warmth and childlike innocence.

Against all seeming odds, and despite of all the disapproving and skeptical attitudes from everyone around them, Yuuka and Tooru fall in love with eachother and fight to stay together. Yuuka teaches Tooru how to love, while Tooru shows everyone that Yuuka is not the little naive girl that everyone thought she was.

Ack! I cant believe that i did that! I just wrote one of those cheesy character/plot analysis that i have always hated reading. im sorry. my deepest apologies. anyways, though, this story has an ending that is enough to bring tears to anyone's eyes. and the theme song by Mr. Children is nothing to scoff at either. enjoy.
