Disclaimer: All Fushigi Yuugi references are borrowed from Watase Yuu. All Dune references are borrowed from Frank Herbert. All other references, to which most normal people will not catch on, are the products of Brenna's mind, and are not to be taken seriously. :) In the week before their departure to Arrakis, when the final preparations were underway, an old crone came to visit the mother of the boy, Hotohori. It was a warm night in Konan Country though a chill breeze that heralded the coming autumn as well as adverse plot development blew through the old castle's chambers, the pastel color scheme of which clearly indicated its origins in shoujou anime. The young man slitted his eyelids to see the newcomers while still pretending to sleep. He soon wished he hadn't. One was his mother, whose watching him sleep probably should have bothered him more than it did, and the other was a tiny but hideous old woman who floated several feet off the ground. Their presence annoyed him some, but he didn't wonder at it. After all, Hotohori reasoned, as beautiful as he was, who wouldn't want to watch him sleep? "Is he not rather effeminate looking, Lady Jessica?" The old woman asked in a harsh voice that rather reminded Hotohori of the narrator...(no wonder she knows everything.) More to come... :) E-mail Brenna (the wonderful author :) with comments, questions, et cetera. The Legend Remains Perfectly Still... http://www.geocities.com/Tokyo/Temple/6535/
