I LOVED HER THEME SONG - KISEI (NEVER FORGET) VERY MUCH. SINCE I HAVE RECENTLY MOVED TO TAIWAN FROM HAWAII, I DO NOT HAVE AN E-MAIL ACCOUNT YET. Thanks for putting up such a great web page on one of my favourite singers. It is so hard to keep up with singers in asia and it is always a godsend to have dedicated people like yourself help the rest of us stay in touch. I would have certainly passed "The Border" by in the video store if you had not mentioned it was Akina. I did check it out and it was great! (even if it did borrow liberally from "Millenium"). Just for the record, I started listening to Akina in 1995 when I was going through some of the old J-pop CDs we had left in our store. It seems I was the last one to know about her in my circle of friends and co-workers (talk about best kept secrets!). Oh, and thank you for not putting up gossipy and "scandalous" things such as the whole Seiko Matsuda incident (even though it made Akina a stronger person and better singer). Such things only detract from the focus on the artist and the real Akina :)

Absolutely no other Jpop singers can compare to Akina. Her deep and moving vocal performance is incomparable. She is a truly professional singer in any aspect, and her stage performance is so enchanting. I'm glad there's such a remarkable voice on earth.
I don't usually go for Japanese music, but Akina is the first Jpop singer, and the only one who really touches me with her unique voice. I don't know Japanese, but her fascinating vocal manages to touch my heart even without knowing what the lyrics mean!
She's incredible.
That's what I call SINGING.
I'm touched there are so many Akina's fans out there. Bless you all.
Never give up, Akina! You know you are always the best!

I do not know the quality of Tsumetai Tsuki, but BORDER was not very appealing to me. I've got the entire series on VHS and though I don't understand Japanese, the whole spirit of the program is dark.

Yes, I bought the whole set of singles which Warner Music Japan released again. Because I placed an order through a CD Shop, it's only cost HK$ 68 for each. It's quite good because all songs are remaster. The level of sound are improve.
Moreover, I'm preparing to build a full Chinese version of my Akina HP, Akina House. Please give me some comments and suggestions after visti my current English HP.

One day I found "Good Time" sold "Akina Nakamori Super Best" at just HK$40, I bought it accidentally (coz I've already got many of her collections). I find "Slow motion" in this album is extremely touching!! The style changes from originally young and unexperience voice to lower key sad version... it's really very great.
BTW, how many people actually buy the "singles set" (which can spell the word "nakamori akina")?
it's attractive, but I must be bankrupt if I buy it...

My dearest love (other than Akina : ) is videotaping BORDER for me and in mid-March will be bringing me the tapes. If anyone would like a copy for viewing let me know. They're being recorded in the slow mode, and though Japanese TV is generally very clear by the time it is copied it will be good but not perfect. Maybe a trade or payment for the tape and postage could be arranged.
Also, if you like to request perfumes or other American things to be sent to you, let me know and we will tell you how many $US it will cost...
