It was too hard to say it then
but I think I'm ready now
I will remember who you used to be
And learn to move on somehow

It's hard to say goodbye sometimes
Often too hard to let go
To your words and to your voice
That I have come to know

I miss the way you smile 
And I miss the way you sing
Most of all I miss the person you had come to be

Taken away too early
You wern't yet quite of age
I am sorry my dear friend
I hope to see you again someday

Maybe then we will meet again
In someplace but our dreams
Never knowing when that will be
Because things are never as they seem

Things will never be the same
It's past too late for that
But in my heart I find a flame
Wishing you'd come back
