For a start, Ranma
1/2 is about a 16 year old teenager who lives at the Tendo Dojo with his
(eh....I should say her...or maybe his.....whatever!!!) father, Genma Saotome.
Also living there are Genma's good friend Soun Tendo, his three daughters
(Kasumi, Nabiki and Akane) and most unfortunately......the
sex fiend Happosai. Whenever Ranma touches cold water, he turns into a
pretty girl. Genma turns into a Giant Panda when he touches cold water.
They both revert back to thier original forms when they touch hot water.
Ranma is engaged to Akane under the wishes of Genma and Soun......on the
surface, both of them hate each other but the truth turns out to be quite
different!!
As Ranma's story is already being shown on TV, I shall not bore you
with all the details of the story.....also, there are already many sites
on the net that gives you a beginner's guide to the Ranma universe if that
is what u are looking for. The anipike
provides many such sites.
Ranma's companions
are often very eccentric people which makes the story all the more interesting....Firstly,
there's Ryouga - a highly skilled martial arts specialist
that cannot find his way out of a small house (he takes one week to reach
Furinkan High School where others would take a few minutes). Next, we have
Shampoo - a girl from China who is in love with Ranma.
Mousse - this bespectacled guy, also from China is
crazy about Shampoo and he is without his specs most of the time because
he wants to look cool! This often results in several ridiculous situations!
Ukyou - Ranma's 2nd fiancee - dressed in man's clothings
most of the time. Kuno - A 2nd year senior at Furinkan
High School who is in love with the female Ranma (ironically, he hates
the male Ranma) and Akane. Finally, there's Kodachi,
Kuno's sister who is madly in love with Ranma (yes! you guessed it! she
hates the female version of Ranma like poison!)
In my latest update of this homepage, I have decided to write a new page on some of my personal insights of Ranma 1/2. Here, you will find some brilliant pictures and you will also have a chance to express some of your own opinions of the Ranma manga/anime. I will personally put these opinions up on my homepage in my future updates. So if you are a great fan of Ranma 1/2, love great pictures and have something to say about one of the greatest manga in the world, then come on in!!!!

A Word From KojiHello there. The Ranma series played on TCS 8 has taken a even stranger turn with the introduction of Ukyou. All 4 of Ranma's love interest have now appeared. Make it a point never to miss an episode from now on!

I am currently thinking about setting up a page containing wav files for several Ranma theme songs and doco titles. I have recently found a host that provides enough space for me to put up some songs for download. However, I will have to wait till I have some free time before I can do this......so hang in there!
