hide was a dynamic member of the band X and his sheer presence added something to the band and their music. He was orginally a member of the still going band Saber Tiger. He then joined X an the invite of Yoshiki and Toshi and had remained a cornerstone until their disbanding.
He was voted one of Japan's top three guitarists along with Luna Sea's Sugizo and Media Youth's Kiyoshi and it was a well deserved title. He proabably had the most successful solo career of all the X members and his tragic passing cut short a brillant career.
He had an incredibly flexible voice, which made his music very unpredictable as hide could alter his tone to fit any style of music. It was his eagerness to try new things musically and visually that made him great.
