In Japan, rock gardens abound. Usually made by monks these abstract 'gardens' are used during meditation by emptying the mind and allowing yourself to make form out of the raked rocks. Some people see mountains, others islands in the sea. Regardless, it is a place to let your mind do the walking for a change.
