Photos of Iwakuni's Kikko Park Area

from the Spencers' Iwakuni Photo Album

LEFT: Statue of Kojiro-Sasaki in Kikko Park; This statue is based on a character in a novel "MUSASHI MIYAMOTO", written by Eiji-Yoshikawa. The Iwakuni Castle is visible on the skyline to the left of the sword. (May '97)
RIGHT: Kinun-Kaku in Kikko Park; This was constructed in 1885, and modeled after the south turret which was formerly located here. There are swans (and ducks) swimming in the moat below. (Oct. '97)
Fountain in Kikko Park. This area is enjoyed by the Japanese and Americans alike, as a great place for a picnic, or just to relax outside :-) April, 1998
