AKIRA is probably the most widely seen movie of all anime. It is definitely one of the most popular! It's a futuristic and VERY complex movie about the powers of telekinesis if tuned too acutely. You'll probably have to watch this one two or three times to understand it fully.

This movie gets kind of violent at times. The sex in the movie is just one flash of breasts, nothing more. Either way, I think this one is much more attuned to more mature audiences.

I say rent this one first, then go buy it if you like it enough (I think you will).
