(11-96) There is a beaver-like animal recorded in China. The natives called it "The stick in". The male is sexually active. So active that the female cannot stand it and often runs away. Therefore, the male usually lives alone. Many of them died holding a piece of wood.
At spring, native women will get together and go into the mountains for herbs and medicine. The young and strong beaver will jump out and hold the women when they smell the women coming. Women will have to use two hands to pull away the beaver and kill it. The women carry the body home, and sell it for a price. The ones died holding a piece of wood could also be used as aphrodisiacs. Their penis are usually deep into the wood for several inches. The natives think of them as being very effective and treasure them. There are rules against selling to other tribes. Chinese medicine men sometimes use other animal parts to substitute. The way to test it is to have a woman rub her hands till warm, and hold it then blow some warm air to it. The authentic ones sense the yin qi (qi from female) will vibrate. This is also recorded in a Japanese book. The book stated that it is one of the most effective aphrodisiacs.
