(8-96) Few weeks ago, I saw a report on Hard Copy about someone named Dr. Love who used acupuncture and herbs to treat sexual dysfunction. It was a usual hyped, one sided, journalistic report for about 5 minutes. Everyone claimed the wonderfulness of the therapy, no one said anything about side effects. These therapies may be relatively "natural" compared to other artificial treatments. However, they are still human maneuvers to try to correct so called "problems." I'd rather think impotence is more natural than any of the existing treatments. We are so preoccupied with national average of how many times a week as being normal. We forget to ask how priests and nuns lead their normal lives. You won't die without sex, and there are plenty of people who choose to have a sexless life. It is perfectly natural.
The biggest side effect I can think of is that a sex monster has been created. If you are so cured that you can do it six times a night, I would be the first woman who runs away from the bedroom.
The other side effect is resistance. We all know about those additictive drugs that can make you high. The more you have them, the more you want them, until they destroy you. I once treated my eczema with acetic acid for a long time with wonderful results. I started with 5% strength (same as the vinegar). Years later, I increased the strength to 99.9%, and it stopped working. I once heard a lecture about treating depression in the elderly with electrical shock therapy. The speaker forgot to mention the problem of resistance until I raised the question. Indeed, they too, have to increase the voltage to achieve the same effect after a while. So why should acupuncture or any herbs be any different?
Many Chinese are aware of the herbs and the treatments. Almost all of them know the result of overindulgence. The catastrophic results are described repeatedly in histories and literature. Don't let these so called natural remedies fool you. If you really want a natural remedy, try sit down and talk to your loved one first. Or else, try meditation. You will either find your renewed energy, or you will totally forget about sex.
