If you plan to visit Erromango, don't have any slight idea of staying in Meteson's Guest house in Upongkor (Dillon's Bay). The owner and his mother will always try to trick you to get out more charges (money).

During April 26 - 29, I stayed there. Virst time they said they would charge me 2,500 VT for one night including three meals and paid all of them on the first day, but on the day of departure they told they weren't consent with the money and the real charge for one night was 3,500 VT per night without meals.

I asked for two tours. One was hald day tour to go to a cave with tow hours walking. They charged 1,500VT for it, but they really gave 1,000VT to the guide including custom fee. The other tour was a whole day tour to walk in the bush to see a big kaori tree with 4 hours walking. They charged 3,000VT but the correct fee was 2,000VT (1,000VT for guide and 1,000VT for custom fee).

I complained about the extra fee that they charged, but they insisted they were right.

In Upongkor there's another guesthouse, PWMU Guesthouse. I saw the owner and had a good impression on her (she looked honest).

I reccommend you never try to stay in Meteson's. They're real lyers and thiefs to take all your moneys.
