I was born on Mar 11th, 1975, at Taipei in Taiwan, a city on a small island next to China. I am the oldest child in the family, and I have a younger sister. My parents are involved with international trades. They started out their own business when they were young, and now they have a company in Taiwan and China. Due to the nature of my parent's occupation, I was trained to be independent at very early age, such as going to another city alone. When I was at the age of twelve, my parents sent me to New York. At the first three years I lived with my relatives. I went through my junior high school and learned to speak English during that time. After I graduated from junior high my parents bought a house at Bayside, so I moved out my relative's house and started to live by myself. In 1995 my sister came to New York, so currently me and my sister live together, and I have to take care of her( I rather live alone :). The high school I went was School of Music and Art. If you ever watch the show Fame that's the school I am talking about. It was located right next to Juliard and Lincoln center, so I have to wake up at six in the morning everyday for traveling( if I want to look good that day I have to wake up at five). I was an fine art major in the high school, and my specialty was photography, water color, and drawing. During that time some of my photographic work have been shown in art exhibit in the city, and my work also represented the photographic section of school's gallery. I was a very active student at my high school year; I was a senior staff of Chinese Student Association, year book staff, the third fencer in the fencing team and played first double in the hand ball team. When I graduated I received a metal and award from the Association of Teachers of Mathematics of NYC, merit of certificate for photography, and the Beller physical education achievement award. After I graduated I decided not to continued with art because I wanted to pursue a career in the psychology field with preference of clinical health psychology. Therefore, instead of continuing my education in an art school I go to Queens College to approach my goal. I could have continue my parent's business, but I want to do something I like. Currently I just graduate from Queens College, and my majors are chemistry and psychology. Besides studying I am also a very active student, inside or outside of the campus. I was the president of Chinese Student Association. I was one of the three representatives of Queens College to be in the CUNY Student Leadership Institute. I was a member of personnel search committee at Queens College Student Union. I assisted in preparing Queens College for its Middle States Accreditation. Also, I am a Peer Advisor in the counseling office, and I am the vice president of the Chemistry Honor Society. Right now I am in the clinical health psychology program at Yeshiva university, so I feel that my career goal is getting closer, and I had made a right choice when I graduate from high school. These are some of my basic back grounds.

I am a typical person who has interest in many things. Since I was an art student fine art is one of my main interest. Still life drawing, portrait, and photography are my specialty. Occasionally I like to go the museums or walking around in the city to take photos. Acting is another interest I have. I like to act a lot; it can be a skit, a film, or just for fun. I have played a main character in a graduate film called "Purple Seven". I was also an extra in the movie "Wedding Banquet". Singing karaoke is something I am obsessed with; I love to sing in front of people, and I had been in some singing contest also. The music I like are classics, oldies, soft music, pop music, and any music that sound good. Dancing is another interest I have. When I was a president in C.S.A. I co-sponsored parties in the city. There is one time I dance for eight hours without a break. Martial art is always my main interest since when I was little. I learned many styles of martial art such as Karate, Jujitsu, Aikido, and Judo. Judo is my main thing; I have practice Judo for seven, eight years, and I competed in many tournaments before. Currently I am a first degree black belt, and I assist my instructor in class. Beside martial arts, I like many sports also. For instances, I play basket ball with my friends every week, and we went to watch the New york Knicks. Volley ball and hand ball I enjoyed a lot, but I don't play them as often now. Billiard and Bowling are something I also enjoyed. My bowling average is about 160 ( well.. I think it's droping since I havn't play for a while). Some of the intellectual thing I liked is chess, especially Chinese chess. My friend and I sometime played chess mentally or blind chess on a way to a trip. I also like creative writing. It's another tool I use to enjoy my imagination. Some of my writings was published in private organization journals. Last, reading is probably something I love to do the most. Since when I know how to read I want to read everything in the world. When I am alone I read, and I think this is the best way to entertain your self. This is what I do when I feel lonely. I am interested in variety of topics; natural science, philosophy, poems, jokes, scientific novels, Sherlock Holmes, Dostoevski's Crime and Punishment, Freud's theory, Kawabata's Snow Country, Baroque art history and more. My favorite people are Freud, Eienstein, Marx, Darwin, Bruce Lee, and Steven Chow. Because I live alone I love to do many things in my life to make it more interesting. Therefore, I am pretty content with what I am doing now.

My personality came from my parents; my mom is very outgoing, and my dad is very quiet, so I think I act different ways in different environment. People usually have impression of me as humorous, talkative, gentle, quiet, and sometime intelligent. I believe because of my personality I have many different group of friends, each group can be very different from one to another. For example, one group of my friends are very bright, and they all graduated from Columbia, Cornell, or Cooper Union. Another group of my friend loves to hang out a lot, and these are the people I party with. My life philosophy is simple; when you play you play hard. When you study you study hard. Of course, sometimes I got to carry away, so my grades suffered. I think I am a typical B student, because since junior high to college my average grades were always at the borderline of nineties. I always have some classes I do really good and some really bad, so when average out it's a B. When I have a bad grade, it doesn't always mean that I don't know the material. It could be that I am just too lazy sometimes to hand in my works. My moral value, life philosophy, view of life basically came from Buddhism and Zen. They are very important to me because they give me spiritual growth. The philosophy of Buddhism and Zen helps me to deal with the way of life and make me strong on my own. It a belief that one should improve one's own weakness and give happiness and assistance to others. Therefore, don't think that all I know is eat, eat, and eat. Eat God is one of my nickname. It came from the way I eat; my body weight doesn't correlate with the quantity of foods I eat. I hope you get to know me a little better now, or else, I am going to eat your heart out :)
