In 1996, censorship in anime in Italia arrived at levels similar
to the inquisition period, raising the rumors of many fans who
were, and nowadays are, in the newsgroup
it.arti.cartoni.
|
|
These fans joined together under a flag, the Red Ribbon of the "Dragonball" serie, and have decided to spread the truth about the imported anime series in Italy an about how these series were, and are nowadays, "adapted".
The discussion on the newsgroup continues, and the idea to create a movement, which can be considered as the base to spread every news regarding every anime arriving in Italy, take its form.
Now many of these fans have created ADAM, the Association for the Defense of Anime and Manga, and have joined, in the common target to see anime in TV without any censorship and adaptions, with other european fans. |
If you want to partecipate, we've created the ADAM web site, where
you'll find useful infos and world-wide news. We've a mailing-list
also, where we discuss and prepare our projects in order to have
Anime and Manga without cuts and censorships.
At this moment we're in contact with the Espanish ADAM, but fan in other
countries are joining to our projects.
The home page of european ADAMs is at this link
