#1 Shadow Land

It seems to be a normal, nice day in Shinjuku, downtown Tokyo, when a cloud gathers overhead and casts a strangely-shaped shadow on the buildings below. Demonic laughter resounds. In a room at Sengoku University, Mia is busy working under her grandfather, Professor Yagyu. His work as a romantic literature scholar lead him to uncover the obscure Armor Legend. From it, he had learned of Emperor Tulpa's foretold return. The only force against Tulpa is the Ronin Warriors.

Back in Shinjuku, Yuli and his parents are window-shopping. Yuli picks out a skateboard he wants and promptly skates off with it. He loses his balance when people begin running away from something he's skating toward and falls. As Yuli rubs his sore spot, he's licked by a large rough tongue. He turns and comes face to face with a large brown-eyed white tiger. A black-haired youth, Ryo, next to the tiger asks if Yuli is alright. Yuli first thinks it was the tiger who was talking to him. Before Yuli can ask the older boy much else, his parents draw him away in fear. The tiger and his partner continue down the street but the police come out in riot gear and surround the two.

Mia catches the news on the television and tells her grandfather. He says that that boy is one of the Ronin Warriors and asks Mia to bring the boy and the tiger back to the university. However, dark clouds begin forming unnaturally quickly around Shinjuku. Anything running on technology begins to falter and fail. Mia's Samurai (jeep look-alike),the cars around her, stoplights, etc. all die. Mia borrows (or steals)a traffic control officer's bike in order to continue farther into the city.

Above, a news(?) helicopter motor dies and it falls from the sky. Ryo and the riot police watch as the helicopter goes down. Then lightning strikes everywhere, windows shatter, and people run in panic. Yuli and his parents get separated in the fear-driven mob.

Ryo yells for the dynasty to attack him since he is their enemy. A dynasty soldier materializes out of the the video billboard above Ryo but Byakuen's warning lets Ryo barely jump out of the way. The scythe had cut the back of Ryo's sweater, revealing his undergear. Ripping off the rest of hisclothes, he stands before the dynasty soldier in his red and white undergear, announcing he is Ryo of Wildfire.

Even with his undergear though, Ryo is no match for the dynasty soldiers the soldier easily bats away Ryo's attacks. Byakuen attacks but he is also knocked away. The amount of power the soldier is releasing from the scythe destroys the road and part of the surrounding buildings.

Yuli, who is looking for his parents, comes out of an alley right onto the fight. He isn't noticed but the soldier's scythe just happens to stop swinging when it is pointed at him and discharges. Mia coming in on her borrowed bicycle yells, "Look out!" and jumps off the bike to push him out of the way. The bike, by the way, gets mangled.

Ryo is finally beaten to the ground when the soldier decides to finish him off. The blow meant to cave in his head is instead warded off by the arm guard of Rowen of Strata undergear. Then Kento of Hardrock, Sai of Torrent, and Sage of Halo join the fight. The soldier is not worried and once again easily bats away the four Ronins attacks.

Mia meanwhile tells Yuli a little about who the Ronins are and what they are fighting. She notices that the Ronins aren't united; Ryo wantsto fight but the others tell him to stay out because he's too hurt to do anything. Mia tells them that they must be of one heart in order to stand a chance of beating Tulpa.

The soldier captures Yuli and Mia with his chain, using them as hostages. Ryo and the other four ronins transform in bolts of silk and fluttering sakura blossoms. The soldier laughs and says so they must be the Ronin Warriors, he didn't believe that before. Even with the armor, Ryo cannot harm the Dynasty soldier who then throws Yuli and Mia into the video bill board that he came out of.

Rowen fires a arrow at him and Mia and Yuli scream in pain. The soldier then demonstrates on himself what any other pain will do to his two hostages. Ryo sheathes his swords, much to the Ronins' surprise. The soldier proceeds to beat him up and into the ground. Getting tired of the game, the soldier decides to finish off Yuli and Mia. Ryo, becoming angry, begins to call on Wilderfire power. He gets up and his armor is emitting heat which catches the soldier off guard. The soldier wonders if this is the power of the Armor of Wildfire.

Pulling out his katanas, Ryo clicks the hilts together, swings them over his head and yells, "Flare up Now!". The soldier is hit at point blank range, and as he disintegrates he throws the scythe into the air. When the attack dissipates, the Ronins gape at the destruction of the attack, it cut through about a city block. Mia and Yuli fall out of the video bill board and Whiteblaze catches them.

On the building tops, someone catches the spinning scythe and laughs. Ryo looks up and asks who are they. The one who caught the scythe introduces himself as The Warlord of Cruetly, Anubis, and leader of the Dark Warlords. Next are Cale, Dias, and Sekhemt. They turn to globes of light and fly off into the dark clouds. Then Tulpa introduces himself, and the clouds part to reveal his fortress above Shinjuku. 1
