I was introduced to Ranchu Goldfish when I was living in California. A little bit later, I was fortunate to live in Japan for a short period of time and fell in love with Ranchus through Japanese friends. I learned a lot about Ranchus while I was there, but was also introduced to Tosakins and Jikins. Now that I am back in the states, I want to get back in to breeding of Ranchus after a hiatus of about 17 years. So far I have obtained some Edonishiki fry and have been working with them to come up with some breeding stock. Hopefully, in the very near term, I will be hearing from another source and will be getting some Ranchus. Due to expense, the good old fashion rumor mill, and lack of interst on the parts of others, I will probably never own a breeding set of Tosakins or Jikins. In any event, progess along the lines of my re-newed Goldfish Adventure will be posted as events occur.
