It was first introduced into revenue service in July 2002. The Millennium train, with enhanced comfort and safety, is the newest addition electric fleet in Sydney. With its sleek lines and modern styling, it is the fourth generation of electric trains (4GT) purpose built for the NSW rail network. I personally think Millennium Trains look better!! They provide better passenger destination information, improved air-conditioning, greater seating capacity with footrests and real-time recording surveillance cameras. The University of New South Wales is the place I spent 4 years (1999-2003) doing my Electrical Engineering degree.
