Narsus is reporting to Arslan that Andragoras is going to fight directly against Giskal. Another side, Hilmes leads 30,000 army, waiting to fight to Yekbatarna. In Yekbatarna, Giskal is attacked by a follower of Zahoke. Narsus and Darun meet Kishwade on the battle field, then Narsus tells Kishwade that Arslan has no intension to join Andragoras but insists to take over Yekbatarna.
Alfreed and Elam are ordered to explore around Yekbatarna. They observe that Zendy leads Parsian army to attack Lusitanians via underground tunnel and opens the city gate. The attack wakes up Parsian citizen as they takes out weapons to support Hilmes' army. Lusitanians' blood stains the whole capital. In the morning, Hilmes declares himself as new Parsian king and takes off his mask to accuse Andragoras in front of Parsian citizens. Indeed, Hilmes' speech wins a lot of sympathy.
Hilmes and Saam go to the treasure storeroom in the palace to check how much gold and jewels are left but find out that there's nothing at all. Hilmes thus realizes that Giskal doesn't even plan to come back. It is a lousy set up that Giskal made to let Hilmes and Andragoras kill each other in Yekbatarna, so he can sneak back and gain the power while both Hilmes and Andragoras are busy fighting against each other.
Meanwhile, Alfreed and Elam sneak into the palace and "luckly" bump into Saam. Saam lets them go out safely without notifying anybody.
Alfreed and Elam bring the news back to Arslan. Narsus hears the information and suggests that Yekbatarna is lacking of water and food but Hilmes wants to hold his throne securely, so he doesn't open the city gate. They only need to bring food and water to the citizens, the hungry people will be willing to open the city gate no matter it is against Hilmes' will.
A man claims to be Andragoras' prime minister requests to see Hilmes and tells Hilmes that he knows what really happened between Hilmes' father and Andragoras. However, Saam recognizes the man isn't the prime minister but a follower of Zahoke. Nontheless, Saam is commanded to leave. Zendy comes with hurry to tell Hilmes that Andragoras has already arrived to Yekbatarna with his army. Hilmes goes back to the room but finds out that the mysterious man has disappeared.
In the army camp, Andragoras tells Tahamine that he's going to conquer Yekbatarna and gain Pars back soon, but Tahamine just watches him emotionlessly...
