Beryl is the evil Queen of the Negaverse, an evil parallel dimension. Her goal is to accumulate human 'life energy' and the Emperium Silver Crystal -- both of which are needed to release the "Negaforce" - an evil energy source which would destroy the world. In order to find the Emperium Silver Crystal, she needs to find all the 'rainbow crystals'. These crystals are located inside human beings, and when all the crystals are found and combined, they will produce the Emperium Silver Crystal. Queen Beryl never leaves the Negaverse, but stays on her celestial throne and sees all through her Crystal receiver.
