The cover page features Tsukasa and Ryuji (of course...) Looks they're on a rocky shoreline or something (a little rocky "island" in the middle of the water?) Anyways, it looks like Ryuji's actually in the water (his pale blue shirt is wet too) and he's running his hand through his hair. Tsukasa is wearing a sun hat and a orange & pink flower print bikini with a short sarong. There's also a flower on the bikini.

The episode title page is in colour and features the duo, Ryuji in a brown suit, aiming his gun towards the reader. Tsukasa is in front of him in a fuchsia outfit (denim?) and black gloves.

Text: Pull fate's trigger with our own hands!!

Somewhere in Tokyo.

Cars honk their horns in a busy intersection.

Male voice: "Well~~~ What's this? Didn't you win in that war against Garyukai~~~?"

Female bystander: "The cops."

A second female bystander: "Someone should call the cops---"

Male voice: "How pathetic these Kuryugumi kumiins are------" Someone stops in mid-step at the mention of Kuryugumi.

Male voice: "Aa~~~ I ge~~t it. It's not that you're (Kuryugumi's) strong."

The someone: "......"

Male voice: "It's that Garyukai wasn't a big deal~~~" Now that we finally get to see their faces, I'll describe him. The gang's leader is holding a huge katana that looks too long for him to be wielding... [reminds me of Sephiroth in FFVII].

Another guy: "Oh I~~~ get it now~~~~~~!!" This guy is carrying a short knife in his right hand. Behind him is a number of other guys with knives.

Kuryugumi kumiin: 1 "...Kuso...... With such a big mob...!"

Kuryugumi kumiin: 2 "Aren't you ashamed of yourselves!!?"

Both Kuryugumi members are badly beaten and bleeding from several wounds.

Leader: "No~~t at a~~ll. Right now, the world views Kuryugumi as the top in the gokudo world." {With that Megafloat incident being broadcasted around the world and all.} "So what if it's unfair or whatever. If we do you in, then everyone else will recognize us. ''What, you won against Kuryugumi's kumiin? Amazing!'' they'll say!!"

The leader launches an attack followed by his underlings.

Kuryugumi kumiin: "!!"

The younger looking kumiin had raised his arm over his head in a feeble attempt to ward off the katana attack but slowly opens his eyes as he realizes that he made no contact with the blade.

Voice: "...Hey guys, you're causing a riot......"

The kumiin starts at the voice and turns to look. "!!"

Voice: "Can't you see that the passersbys [passerbies?] are scared?"

Kumiin: "...A......!"

Tsukasa had stopped the katana strike before it had even started, her left foot connecting with the hilt of the sword [It's in some sort of special bandage thingie, like what she has on her injured right hand]. The two Kuryugumi kumiin look up to her with respect and relief.

Tsukasa: "You're causing a disturbance......" [not the best direct translation...] "If you want to fight that much then become a pro wrestler." She waves her hand as if shooing them away with her specially gloved hand. The gang members start challenging her.

"...What's this?"

"This gaki looks like a girl."

"We'll rape you uun~~~~~!!?"

Tsukasa starts laughing giddily, with flowers in the background.

The gang members: "...... ......"

"...What's so funny?"

The leader with the katana: "You gaki.........!"

Tsukasa: "...Hey hey hey. I'm just trying to settle this in a friendly way. ...So, get the hell out of here while I'm still smiling, huh?" Her face suddenly transforms into Wakasa mode, with cold slitted eyes challenging them. "...Okay......?"

The gang members step back unconsciously because of the freaky aura coming from the evil looking Tsukasa [who's incidentally in her school uniform and carrying her backpack.]

Text pointing to the freaky aura: An aura emitted only by those who fought a battle almost to death.

Kuryugumi kumiin: 1 {...Oo...!}

The two beaten kumiins are now standing up behind Tsukasa, with looks of awe on their faces.

Kumiin: 2 {Freaking them out just with her aura...! Sh... She's definitely......!} "Definitely our anego~~~~~~!!" He has tears in the corners of his eyes. [anego is similar to anesan.]

Tsukasa, royally pissed off: "Who's the anego aaaan~~~!!?" {Don't call me by such a vile name---!!}

There's the sound of someone getting punched twice.

Kumiin: "Ow!"

Ryuji: "---Ho ho......... This time it's anego is it.......?" He snickers.

Tsukasa, with her arms crossed: "It's not funny to me Ryuji!"

Out of her school uniform, she's now in shorts and a T-shirt, with a denim (?) vest to top it off. You can tell that her left lower leg is in a special brace.

Behind her, Bun-san is shuffling a bunch of papers at a desk.

Ryuji: "...That's true... Sorry......" He's busy typing away at a keyboard. "If I had stated clearly said ''no'' when the kanbu members asked if ''Kozuki Tsukasa was Wakasa's daughter'' then maybe..."

Some time earlier.

Usui, Mooka and a few of the other clan heads had cornered Ryuji after the Megafloat incident.

Usui: "When Megafloat started to crumble, Kozuki said this!!" "If we're going to escape, that has to be after we take back the 'kagi'...!!"

Usui: "Take back!! The fact she said that unconsciously means that she was the holder of the 'kagi'!!"

Ryuji: {...Nu...! They're sharp this time around...... Not bad...}

Ryuji: "...That time, had I denied the allegations, then the kumiin wouldn't have went ahead with their actions......." He's referring to the kumiins' sudden change towards her.

One frame shows the kumiin lined up to greet her at the entrance.

The kumiin: "Wel! Welcome back bozu."

Text: From the freaky greeting at the entrance (this according to Tsukasa).

Another frame shows one of the kumiin addressing her directly, though they had usually ignored her when possible.

Kumiin: "A! bozu, Sandaime is currently in the computer room......" [Sounds like they're still calling her bozu... though some seem to address her as anego...]

Tsukasa: "......" {...Up until now I had to search to find him......}

Text: To the sudden change in their attitudes towards her. And their sudden low posture...

The kumiin aren't quite bowing to her yet but are close. Instead of standing erect, they're slightly hunched over so that their hands are resting on their thighs [which I think is common in gangs when those on the low end of the chain of command show respect to those on the higher end... the kumiin do the same to Ryuji.]

Tsukasa: "......"

Bun-san butts in, getting up with a stack of files under his arm: "But Tsu-bo, you're not to planning to deny that you're the ''kage no seisai's daughter'' right?"

Tsukasa: "...... ...Nope..." {...I can't think of us as ''mother and child'' but...... now...... I don't feel like getting all hot over denying my link to 'Wakasa'------... ...'Cause... I... can't think of her as a stranger~~.... ...Well... I mean she's not really a stranger but... But......}

Bun-san: "Then if it doesn't bother you that they're treating you as ''Wakasa's daughter'' you shouldn't be angry over the kumiins' actions and words."

Tsukasa is at a loss for words. "...We... ...Well....." {...That's true but------... ...But... ...That's not it---...} She holds her right hand in her left as if hugging her pinky. {...What's bothering me is---...}

Ryuji notices her silence and gets up from the desk. "...Does it hurt----...?"

Tsukasa is surprised. "E...?" {What!?}

He takes her right hand in his.

Tsukasa: {...A...... Oh... my right hand...} She smiles sadly. {...I...... seem to have gained this habit of touching my right pinky......... Ever since then------...} She's referring to the day she saw Kamo-san at the shrine where they sealed a promise.

Ryuji gazes down at her gloved hand in his and recalls how Freya's weapon had pierced it. He bows his head.

Ryuji: "------... .....You------..."

Tsukasa: "E?"

Ryuji: "Don't do anything rash when I'm not around........." Pulling her in, he leans in close with accusing eyes.

Tsukasa: "...Ra...! Rash you say!!?"

Ryuji: "When you saved the kumiins there were a lot of opponents right?"

Tsukasa: "No......! But that was! I only butt in since I thought that I would win......!" {That's not rash! Not rash at all!!}

Ryuji: "... ...Oh... Is that right......" A change comes over him. "...If you were just good and had said ''yes''---..."

An evil looking Ryuji straddles Tsukasa from behind so that she's face down on the desk and pulls off his shirt, popping off a couple of buttons (actually, 3 of them). Growling, he starts pulling off her vest.

Tsukasa: "Hi! WAAAAAA I WON'T BE RASH---!! I WON'T DO ANYTHING STUPID---!! I won't even move a finger when Ryuji-kun isn't around------!!" She grabs on the edge of the desk trying to get away. She nods her head vigorously, with a look of pure terror on her face.

Ryuji: "...Fine..." He calmly puts his shirt back on while crouching on the desk. Meanwhile, the terrified Tsukasa-dog is cowering on the floor in tears.

Tsukasa, all out of breath: {Th... That was scary~~~ I was scared~~~ His eyes were like that of a carnivore~~~!!}

Bun-san reappears all of the sudden. "...Sandaime. Excuse me... I've just been informed that there's been a strange phone call..."

Ryuji: "A strange phone call? What's it about?" [His shirt looks normal... which buttons did he pop off?]

Tsukasa: "......" She gets up, tears still in the corners of her eyes, holding her arms to her chest.

In another room, the visual display accompanying the phone call is shown on a large screen.

The message appears to be from a biker gang, their leader apparently a dark haired individual who's wearing what appears to be a lot of heavy-looking metal jewellery (earring(s), rings, a bracelet & a chain around his neck).

Guy: "---...So. Here we have your kumiin so," He points to a man who's covered in blood, held upright by his hair by another guy. Behind them is a group of other punks and their motorbikes.

Tsukasa and Ryuji who are watching the video: "...... ......"

Guy: "Kumicho-san, come here to get him. The place is---"

Tsukasa: "...They... don't seem like yakuza members..."

Ryuji: "Even if they're not yakuza, I expected that someone hot headed like him would do something like this...... Since we're at a disadvantage after the battle with Garyukai---..."

Tsukasa starts, her temper rising. "...!! Those bastards... They're not manly! I swear everyone tries to strike at one's weak points to gain the advantage........." {But... I don't really get what their goal is.......} [Um... not a very good translation......]

Ryuji: "...You can't help that though..."

Tsukasa, angrily: "Can't be helped you say!"

Ryuji: "That's how this (the gokudo's) world runs... If we don't overcome this hurdle then we may be dragged down not just from our position as the top in Japan but from top of the Kanto region as well---..."

Tsukasa starts: "------!!" Looking down, she is silent. "------..."

Guy: "---Here's the deal. What we want isn't money. ---...The ''kagi''---..."

Tsukasa and Ryuji both start.

Guy: "...You still have it ...right......?" He points to them. "The ''kagi to the holy land''---..."

Tsukasa: {------...Wha...... Why do these guys know about the ''kagi''------!!?}

The scene changes to the inside of Ryuji's limo.

Tsukasa is deep in thought, staring out of the window. {The ''kagi'' is now sealed deep within Kuryugumi...! That hasn't been made public!! Not even the police are sure about the whereabouts of the ''kagi''. ---... ---I'm thinking that it would be better if the ''kagi'' was turned over to the police------...... The manmade counterdrug... They were saying on the news that they had to inject it several times over a longer period of time compared to the real counterdrug to rid the body of the drug...... ...I'm sure that everyone (at Kuryugumi) knows about it too... But------ even at a time like this, the rift between the gokudo and the ''police'' won't allow such a thing to happen.

Tsukasa stares up at the scene conjured in her head. {...No way... to wish such a scene...} "..." {...But then... where did the information about the ''kagi'' leak from...? The only ones aside from Kuryugumi, my brothers, Asaba-kun, and mister Azuma who know about the ''kagi'' and spread the word about it------... That would be------...}

"---regarding Garyukai's 'important figure' who has seemingly disappeared------..." The words of the news broadcaster echo in Tsukasa's mind.

Tsukasa's mouth opens in realization. {Gon......} For some reason, she pictures Misumi with his hands in his pockets turning back to look at her... with roses in the background. "!!" She starts again in realization and whirls to see her seat mate in the limo.

Ryuji is accusing her with his eyes. "---..."

An SD Tsukasa points at Ryuji with a quivering hand. "Aa---AA---------!! I thought so------!!! I thought so---!!! You bastard---!! Stop looking at me with those eyes of disgust and suspicion every time I even mention Gonzaemon------!!"

Ryuji, looking away from her. "Humph. Now that I think about it, you wouldn't say ''Let's go'' to save a kumiin." {I thought it was strange.}

Tsukasa stares back in wide eye disbelief.

Ryuji catches her gaze and turns away quickly. {...!! ------------...Wha......} "......!" {...Why do you look at me like that------...?} [Um... I think this is Ryuji's thoughts... and sorry for ruining the translation......]

Tsukasa: "---...If I'm not by your side, I can't protect you------..."

Ryuji recalls when Tsukasa had said something similar before the full scale battle launched against Garyukai.

"I can't protect you if I'm behind you!"

Ryuji turns to face her.

Tsukasa: "...Didn't I say that I wanted to stand in the places of danger with you------...?"

Ryuji gazes at her sadly: "......"

"---...In the places of danger with you------..."

Ryuji: " ...Aa------..." He agrees.

"If you say no, then I won't stand in front of you. But at least... let me stand by your side---..." Again this is something Tsukasa said earlier to Ryuji.

Ryuji clenches his fist in anger. {---...And yet I---... I couldn't do anything in your time of danger......} He recalls the death match between Tsukasa and Freya, how she had taken on the wounds while he stood by unable to do anything for her.

Bun-san interrupts his thoughts. "...Sandaime... We've reached our destination but------... There's nobody here." He turns back angrily in the driver seat to face Ryuji.

Tsukasa is pissed with anger. {What!?} "We came her on time but I swear these young ones lately!!" {They have no sense of manners!!} [And you're what, only 14 and calling them young ones!?]

Ryuji [I think]: "Or are they planning something?"

They get out of the car in a huge parking lot in what looks like an industrial area.

Suddenly there's the sound of motors.

Tsukasa: "O? A! Here they come!"

Bun-san: "What this? It looks like a normal entrance."

A car car surrounded by several bikes approach. Some guys are riding double on the motorcycles and the dark-haired leader leans out the window, cocking his gun from the passenger side of the car.

Bun-san sighs: "...Or so I thought but they have guns." {Real ones.}

Tsukasa: "...I wonder who they got them from..." {I swear, Gonzaemon's presence here seems to be getting thicker......}

Ryuji is just staring expressionless. "---..."

"Still," Tsukasa shakes her head in disbelief. "To come against us, who have fought and won against those bakemonos at Megafloat with tho~~se kind of handguns. They're so baka~~~" {We're talking about guys who came at us with these huge turning things with several barrels that fired like mad.} "For bullets that fly in a straight path from those handguns only needs me to!" She steps forward, reaching behind her to her belt pouch.

Ryuji starts. "!! Tsukasa!! Wait, your bugworm!!" [bugworm is the name for her weapon] "You don't have it on!!"

Tsukasa's hand finds nothing, although she's already several steps in front of Ryuji. "A...!" Her mind goes blank.

Tsukasa: {It's still with Taku-nii...!!}

A picture shows Tsukasa's chain and knife with several cross shaped bandages on it.

Tsukasa transforms into a fainting dog. {...I... I'm the baka------!!!}

Meanwhile the car and bikes were approaching firing distance, where each gang member cocked his gun.

The Tsukasa-dog panics. {...N... NOOOOOOO------!!}

Shots ring out in the air.

Tsukasa suddenly notices that everything is on an angle. "O...?"

Ryuji had dove, catching her.

Tsukasa's mouth opens wide in surprise. {---...E...?}

Putting himself in front of her, Ryuji fires repeatedly from a crouched position.

Tsukasa: {E!? E!?} She peeks from behind Ryuji. {Ryu... Ryuji------!? EEE!?}
