I've had a lot of email asking about Samurai Pizza Cats: The Movie,
which I mentioned in my discussion of Speedy's Surname.
So here's what I know (and I'm sure a lot of other people know it too,
but maybe it just needs to be said a bit louder).
Yes, it exists. A nice little video cassette called Samurai Pizza
Cats: The Movie. It is an American NTSC tape. I purchased
my copy in a small video import store/pizza restaurant (no, really!)
in Canberra, Australia (where I live). I do not know
how widely available it is in America (or elsewhere), but I know
that the owner of the shop I found it in had been trying to
get hold of it for months. I bought the only copy he had. So it would
seem that obtaining this tape is a difficult thing for anyone
outside of America; and indeed apparently many people who *are*
in America have had trouble.
The good news is that maybe you don't want to bother:
the tape only consists of Stop Dragon My Cat Around
and both parts of The Big Comet Caper - respectively the first
and last episodes of the series. The tape contains nothing that
has not already been seen on television. If, however, you do
still want the tape, then my only advice for you is to try
emailing the owners of American-based SPC web pages. Good luck.
