There are so many reasons why I adore Touya that I hardly know where to start, but the most obvious one has to be his appearance. ^_^v He's a babe in both the anime *and* manga, but I prefer the anime version of him. However, I use the manga colouring (blue eyes) when ficcing. As said, I just don't see the need for both Yukito and him to have brown eyes. (but that's another story for another time :p)
Touya is gorgeous. Gorgeous, I say. His drop-dead sexiness combined with that strong-silent air of his never fails to get to me every time. *dreamy sigh*
Is it possible to see that I'm madly and utterly in lust with him? *grins at Meg*
Aside from his 100% droolworthy exterior, he's also possessed of an equally attractive character. He's that something you don't see often enough--that Nice Clean Young Man Who Takes Care Of His Younger Siblings And Works To Supplement Family Income In The Bargain. (although I'm not too sure about the 'clean' part...*cackles wickedly*) Still, Touya *is* a son many parents would love to have. He's intelligent, helpful, hardworking, responsible, neat, and best of all, you don't have to supply him with pocket money. He earns it himself. ^_^ (man, how many part-time jobs DOES that boy have? o_0)

What *really* endeared me to the boy was his, uh, special relationship with Sakura. It's just too cute--he teases the hell out of her, he gets to poke fun at her cooking and just about anything she does, but he's the ONLY one who can do that. Yep, Big Brother's the only person on earth who has the right to pick on Sakura. If anyone else so much as dares to lay their grubby little fingertip on her sleeve in Touya-oniichan's presence, the idiot's death is instantly confirmed in the records of hell. Touya will naturally not hesitate to get physical (not in THAT way, you hentais) if it means keeping his imouto safe--he doesn't mind being hurt for her. (aww...if only my elder brothers were anything like him...*sighs disconsolatedly*)
This, um, protectiveness of Sakura doesn't end there--it also extends to other aspects of her personal life, namely her love interests, or more precisely, to people who have crushes on her. Namely Syaoran. ^__^ Anyone with eyes can see he has it BAD for Sakura-chan by tankoubon 6, which of course is the biggest reason why Touya dislikes him. (SnM wonders what Touya would do if he found out about Tomoyo...o_o)
Does anyone besides me think Touya is so *traditional*? ^^ I swear, if he had his way he wouldn't allow Sakura to date boys in high school and play matchmaker for her when she came of age. Though that would probably mean she'd have to stay celibate all her life--as Meg so aptly puts it, "I would venture to state that if a god came down from the heavens and tried to get Sakura, Touya would think he was None Too Good for her." Although this obsessive protectiveness is understandable--their mother passed away when Sakura was three and Touya was ten, and he apparently had quite a big hand in bringing her up. Aww...and on a little side note, I think he actually feels a little guilty for being partly why she's so afraid of ghosts.
The crux of the issue is, no matter how hard he tries to hide it, Touya *does* love his imouto, and no matter how much *she* says she wants to crush him when she grows up, she loves him too. (hands up those who wish they were in Sakura's lucky li'l shoes...^^)
"This is MY little sister! Therefore, no one but ME is allowed to bully her! Comprende?"
But boy, 'sister complex' just ain't an adequate expression for it, baby.
touya and kaho
I've read a few fics by KxT lovers with Touya crying his eyes out when Mizuki-sensei left him (0_o) but personally I think he was never that badly affected. Sure he was hurt, sure he missed her, sure he might have felt betrayed and disappointed that she hadn't stayed, but I always feel there wasn't really that much of a relationship between them in the first place. What they had, and still have, is more of friendship than anything else, you get me? The age difference, for one, and the fact that I feel Kaho's too mysterious and secretive to allow anyone to get too close to her. Only me, but don't you think their one-time thing would have left Touya feeling majorly frustrated at times when he tried to get her to open up and she never would? *shakes head wisely*
But Touya recovered well enough from her walking out of his life (temporarily at least) anyway. ^_^ Besides which he found comfort in another individual MUCH more suited to him...but I digress.

This is an acquaintance that's been the recent source of some controversy on one of the MLs I'm on. Could there be another side to those electrically savage hydrochloric acid-glares so frequently exchanged between these two? Some big-time UST, perhaps? *S-and-S lovers fall over*
Actually...^^; I think that's rather unlikely. Touya already has *someone* (blinks meaningfully), and Syaoran is crushing heavily on Sakura...you could say that the reasons for their being so hostile is because 'one wants the treasure the other won't give up without a struggle'. Go figure. ^_^
There isn't much possibility for *serious* UST as far as I can see. (of course parodies are another matter...*_*) They're too alike in some ways--notably, they're both obsessed with keeping Sakura safe, and they both seem to think they're capable of burning holes through each other with sheer eye-power alone. ^_^
It's endless fun watching these two hotheads stare at each other. ^_^ Who knows--there is a chance they may actually grow to like each other in future, if only because the two of them are so madly protective of Sakura. :)

I know this is terribly long...I'm just biased. ^^;; Suffice be it to say that Touya is just hot, hot, hot, and it looks like I'm stuck being a rabid fangirl of his for a good portion of my life. ^__^
