To say that Ami-chan is not a bookworm is to say that Usagi is a genius. Reading a lot of books is probably the best thing that Ami is known for! This is probably how she got so smart in the first place!

Ever wonder why Ami loves sandwiches so much? That's because it's the only thing that she can eat while reading books!

Reading books is probably Ami-chan's first love. For a fact, she's never without a book in the anime (except, of course, when she's a senshi and they're at battle ^^). She's been known to take walks with Makoto while reading a book (quite amazing how she doesn't bump into things while doing so...), and she's also been known to bring her books to vacation spots, such as the beach. Can you beat that? Anyway, she's also known to have read in various other places, such as the library (duh! ^^), inside the bus, by the swimming pool in a resort, in the bathtub (as shown here in the kawaii manga pic!), and probably a million other places I can't remember anymore! ^^

This is probably the talent Ami-chan gets attacked for most often. Oh, well--let the unelightened ones be, then...

Ami-chan enjoys studying very much, largely because she thinks that it's the only thing she can do well. Also, I think that she holds on to it very firmly because it's a way for her to escape her problems and depressions (see Ami-chan: In Depth for more information). Also, it's something she can be relied on by her friends to help them with, so she considers it a very important thing. To help her study, she attends special juku, or cram schools to enhance her academics.

Ami-chan is also fluent in other languages besides Niponggo, particularly English. Besides Minako-chan, she's probably the only other inner senshi who knows how to speak in English. In Sailormoon S, we find her saying an almost perfect, "I'm glad to see you!" to Mamoru's English-speaking visitor, while the others are unsure about what to say (particularly poor Mako-chan, who said an enthusiastic "Thank you!" to him ^^).

Who says the "nerd" can't be the "jock" at the same time? Ami-chan happens to be very athletic (Oh, I'm so proud of her!), besides being very intelligent; showing harmony between mind and body. She's been known to play a little basketball back in the first season, and we saw her make an amazing spike in Sailormoon S (of course, Minako-chan--you are still the best ^^)!

However, Ami is at her best in swimming. She is the only one to have ever tied Michiru at swimming (and how can she not, with her element being water? ^^), once she got over her battered self esteem and believed in herself.

And, as everyone probably knows, Ami-chan is also great in chess! This is usually listed as one of her hobbies. She even has this episode in Sailormoon R in which she plays against one of the Ayakashi Sisters, Beruche.

Truly amazing, our Ami-chan. Don't you just think she should join the Olympics? ^^

One of her talents being calculating, it would be silly to say that Ami-chan isn't computer literate! ^^ As the strategist of the Inner Senshi, she has the mini supercomputer with her (as shown at right, the little aqua-colored compact-sized apparatus with a yellow mercury sign on the cover) to help her calculate enemy weaknesses and ideal attack points. In many instances throughout the series, Ami's computations on this device have helped the senshi escape dire situations (the best of examples might be the episode in SailorStars in which Sailormercury saved Sailoruranus from a youma).

Also, in the manga version of Ami-chan no Hatsukoi, Minako remembered that Ami was always on the Internet while they were thinking of a way to meet Mercurius.

Ami is also a great dancer, and she's very graceful, too! She and Makoto are the only inner senshi who are capable of ballroom dance (Makoto is graceful because she is good in skating), because the others are either just klutzy, or overexcited... ^_-

We not only see her gracefulness in dance but also in her attacks, particularly the Shine Aqua Illusion. The way she twirls around surrounded by all that water is truly a sight to behold! Also, she is good in swimming--so this must account for some of her grace, too! ^^

Ami would make an ideal wife for any lucky guy! Do you know why? It's because she knows how to do a lot of things around the house!

Like cooking, for example. In the SuperS Movie, it was shown that Ami-chan did know a thing or two about baking. Usagi and the others were amazed at Ami-chan's resourcefulness as she carefully shaped each cookie with the bottom of a glass.

Ami is alone in the house (in Ami-chan no Hatsukoi, she is even shown to live by herself in an apartment) most of the time, and it must be no surprise if she knows how to cook for herself, ne?

How about tidying up? Well, this shouldn't be a problem--considering just how organized Ami-chan is, I'm sure she's got no problem about cleaning house! ^^

I've also found this kawaii picture of Ami in a mechanic's suit, seeming to be fixing something (must be about Sailormoon SuperS or SailorStars, since these are the two seasons I don't have much info about). Imagine, Ami's husband-to-be would have a great wife who could cook, and at the same time, have someone fix his car, too!

I honestly think that no guy can ever deserve that great a wife... ^_-
