Photos of the areas that have given me ideas or inspiration for this layout, including the trains that run in those areas. Click on the thumbnails for a larger size picture.

A/ JR 113 on the Tokaido line running parallel with a JR E217 running on the Yokosuka line between Totsuka and Higashi-Totsuka.

B/ Parallel lines running between Tsurumi and Shin-Koyasu. From L->R - Keihin Kyuko, JR Keihin Tohoku (with 209), Tokaido, Yokosuka (with E217).

C/ A JR 251 'Super View Odoriko' on the Tokaido line from Izukyu-Shimoda to Tokyo/Shinjuku/Ikebukuro passing a JR 253 'Narita Express' on the Yokosuka line from Yokohama to Narita Airport.

D/ Parallel lines running between Yokohama and Higashi-Kanagawa. From L->R - Yokosuka line (E217), Tokaido line (113) and Keihin Tohoku line (209).

E/ The lines running south just out of Tokyo station (top of picture) before Yurakucho. From L->R - Keihin Tohoku Up line, Yamanote Up line, Yamanote Down line (205), Keihin Tohoku Down line, Tokaido line, Tokaido Shinkansen (300).

F/ Photo of the area between Shinagawa and Tamachi. From L->R - Keihin Tohoku line, Yamanote line, Shinagawa yards and loco sheds, Tokaido line (EF66 with 'Blue' sleep train), Tokaido Shinkansen (100), tracks to JR Central Shinkansen storage yards, Tokaido freight line. In the 'Y' area between the the Sinkansen tracks is construction for the new Shinagawa Shinkansen station. At the very back of the photo you can just see the elevated track where the Keihin Tohoku Up line crosses over the Yamanote line to change the configuration from Up, Up, Down, Down running to Up, Down, Up, Down running.

G/ Lines just south of Tsurumi station (looking south). From L->R - Takashima freight line passing over Keihin Kyuko line, Keihin Tohoku line (209), Tokaido line Yokosuka line. The tall white building in the middle of the tracks in the distance is the same as the one in photo 2 above. Turn 180 degrees and you would see the scene below ...

H/ Lines just south of Tsurumi station (looking north). From L->R - Yokosuka line (hidden), Keihin Tohoku line, Tokaido line (going under Keihin Tohoku line), Takashima freight line (EF65 and container train), Keihin Kyuko line (south of Namamugi station). Check out the railfan's delight houses between the tracks !!!!
