Carol and Memphis gets on the Egyptian ship and sails for Egypt. The
lovers have a happy reunion and plenty of "love scenes." Carol discovers
the wound that Memphis has that was caused by Atlas and is very sorry
about it. Memphis comforts her and says it's all right. The two then
have time together......
Meanwhile, in the desert area of Egypt, two prisoners just escaped from
their prison. They discover a tomb and a mummy. They open the mummy case
and sees an adult mummy and the mummy of a baby. THere is a golden
dagger and a papyrus in it. One of the prisoners, named Nebaman, reads
the papyrus, and the papyrus states that the mummy is the son of King
Nefermat (not sure of the spelling), Memphis's father. A plan begins to
form in Nebaman's mind.......
The next day, Memphis decides that he wants to see the navy port of the
Minoans on Island Santorini. Carol is worried because Atlas lives there.
She tries to persuade Memphis not to go there, but Memphis insisted. The
Egyptian sails by the island, and Memphis admires the port. King Minos
comes by ship and thanks Memphis for helping to restore Troy. Carol
warns King Minos about the danger of the volcano erupting on the island.
Minos feels bitter and jealous towards Carol and Memphis but does not
dare do anything.
Suddenly, thunder begins to sound, and waves start crashing against each
other. Atlas is coming towards the ship. Memphis gets ready to fight
against the "sea-monster" and tells Carol to go inside the ship. Carol
wonders if the "sea-monster" that Memphis talks about is Atlas.
The fight starts, and Carol recognizes the voice of Atlas. She goes out
onto the deck, wanting to tell Memphis about Atlas. Atlas sees her and
is about to strike at her with his trident when a lightning bolt hits
him. He falls into the sea and disappears. Carol is all right and
unwounded.
Meanwhile, Prince Izmir is unconscious on the ship of the Queen of the
Amazons. She apparently saved him and wants to take him as a
hostage.....
Then in the June issue of "Princess":
This is mainly about Izmir's childhood. Izmir is unconscious on the ship
of the Queen of Amazons heading in the direction of the Sea of Marmara.
He is having a dream about his childhood...........
It is the eighth birthday of Prince Izmir of the Hittite Kingdom. The
prince loves to learn different kinds of knowledge and is very
hard-working. He has inherited characteristics from his mother and is
gentle and peace-loving. His aunt, the elder sister of the king, gives
him maps and books and appears to be proud of him. She has a son who is
about the same age of Izmir who is wild, cruel, and hot-tempered.
This son hates Izmir and always tries to challenge him. On this day, the
King of Hittite returns from some conquest, and a feast is held. The
King complains Izmir appears to be too gentle and "woman-like." Izmir's
cousin thus challenges Izmir in archery, wanting to disgrace the prince.
Izmir, though, wins the competition, and the cousin is infuriated.
Izmir's aunt, then, reveals that she wants her son to be King and plans
to assasinate Izmir. The Queen of Hittite gives Izmir an iron dagger to
protect himself with and puts it into his long hair. That night, the
aunt's companions try to kill Izmir but Izmir ruined their weapons with
his dagger. They thus picked Izmir up and throws him from the palace on
the hill into a river. Izmir's dream stops here in this issue....a
followup on what happened next will probably be published in later
issues....
Carol is saved from Atlas and decides to not tell Memphis or King Minos
about who Atlas is. (Minos already knows, of course) Minos asks Memphis
to make a stay at the Minoan palace, but Memphis refuses, saying that
it's better if they head straight for Egypt. Minos consents and feels
reluctant to let Carol go.
The ship heads for Egypt. Teti, Carol's maid, is very happy about their
return and dances around on the ship. A big wave comes, and she is swept
off into the sea. Carol sees and asks Memphis and Unas to go save her.
They go after Teti into the sea. Teti, while underwater, sees an ominous
and mysterious dragon-like creature and is very scared. Memphis and Unas
save her and get back onto the ship.
Carol hears a sound and recognizes it as a sound made by a modern ship
from the 20th century! The image of Ryan, her brother, and Afumaide is
shown on the last page of this issue.
Carol sees the modern ship coming and also sees her brother and Afumaide
on the ship. The dimensions of now and the ancient world is overlapping
again (like the part when Ryan shot Izmir). Carol calls to her brother,
and Ryan also sees her in her ancient Egyptian clothes. He is very
surprised and goes to hug her. He asks her where she has been all this
time. Before Carol has a chance to answer, the ship is shaken hardly,
and the siblings are separated. Memphis and the others also feels a huge
rocking of the ship and wonders what is happening. Carol is back on the
ship and Ryan has disappeared.
Ryan wonders about what has just happened and is bewildered. He tells
Afumaide about it and is certain that it is all very real. He opens his
hand and find that he has one of Carol's little head accessories. He is
certain that everything that happened is real and wonders about where
Carol really is....
Carol, on the other hand, cries when Ryan has disappeared. Teti, her
maid, wakes up and tries to tell her about the strange creature she has
seen. Carol, though, tells her about his brother and how he has hugged
her. Unfortunately, Memphis also hears her and gets jealous. He asks her
where her brother is and when and how did she hug him. Carol gets mad
and says that he doesn't understand her feelings. She goes inside the
ship.
Meanwhile, in the villages in the desert of Egypt far from Thebes,
information of a well-mannered, possibly noble man is circulating
around....
September Issue!
Memphis and Carol continue on their trip back to Egypt. The couple, though,
is having a "fight" over Carol's brother, Ryan. Memphis is jealous with
Carol's affections for her brother (remember ancient Egyptian royal family
could marry siblings), and Carol is mad that Memphis doesn't understand her
"homesickness" for her family.
Meanwhile, in a village in the middle of the desert very far from Thebes,
the capital of Egypt, Nebaman, the prisoner who found the tomb of a son of
Pharaoh Nefermat, is been praised as one having an elegant appearance and
demeanor. The people of the village think that he is someone of noble
birth. He stays with the old priest of the village and tells the old priest
that he is the son of Pharaoh Nefermat. He, though, tells the priest that
he does not wish to let that fact be known because he does not wish to
cause chaos in the kingdom. The priest admires Nebaman's assumed nobility
and decides to write a letter to the officials of Thebes telling them about
Nebaman.
Nebaman reveals to his companion who was with him when he found the tomb
that the reason he told the old priest not to reveal his supposed birth is
that he wants the old priest to admire and be devoted to him. His companion
is surprised with Nebaman's slyness and wonders who he really is.
