CC 個人資料 \| email	posted 06-19-98 5:04 PM ET (US) 回小昭﹕Brandenburg Concerto No.3 大概是勃(布)蘭登堡協奏曲第三號，其中那首經改編成小提琴曲的 Air on G string 幾近天籟矣。 Horowitz (荷洛維茲)及 Perahia 彈奏的 Chopin 我都十分喜歡，其中阿伯(Horowitz)的 Fantaisie-Impromptu in C# minor 即與幻想曲？更是過癮之至。 Glenn Gould 彈奏的 Bach 也是我的心頭好，其中 Goldberg Variations 使我這樂盲要自學看譜。 Beethoven 貝多芬的 Piano Sonatas, Cello Sonatas 及九首Symphonies 都是不可缺少的精神食糧。很喜歡 Mahler 的交響曲，可惜家裡的音響太差勁，多倫多管絃樂團又不擅大型的作品…… 其 Das Lied von der Erde 大地之歌是最動人的音樂。 Wagner 華(瓦)格勒的 RING 至今還未敢聽，但其 Siegfried-Idyll 齊格弗里德牧歌卻是百聽不厭，管絃版跟鋼琴編版各有特色。

(Maybe it's because I like that sophiscated touch of polyphony in the texture and the harpsicord-like staccato.) Rather, I think Chopin's are hard to play. Simply because my hands are not big enough.
CC 個人資料 \| email	posted 07-07-98 8:03 AM ET (US) 回小豬﹕Gershwin 的 Jazz piano？我只聽過他的「管弦樂伴奏」的鋼琴曲如 An American in Paris、Rhapsody in blue 和 Variations on "I got rhythm"，未知小豬有沒有其 Jazz piano pieces 的CD好介紹——要知一片CD要廿塊加餅，入錯貨就[打-丁+泵]心了…… 似乎那些 mail order 公司如 BMG 和 Columbia House 都不備這些較「冷門」的選擇，否則用三分一價錢「博一博」也無妨。另外，我以為老柴的音樂就是「娓娓之音」，無疑十分動聽，但卻不耐聽，所以不是「最喜歡的」材料。不過，小豬提及的都是芭蕾舞曲，在這方面 Tchaikovsky 應是「一哥」，只是我不太愛芭蕾舞，而聽芭蕾舞曲的 suites 我寧取較陽剛的 Prokofiev。
piglet 個人資料 \| email	posted 07-07-98 5:16 PM ET (US) 回高連兄：對不起，我實在很少買CD。我這麼一個貧苦學生，若喜歡聽那隻CD便買，那裏還有錢交學費啊！我聽的大都是從圖書館借來，聽膩了便還，家中只有不過十來隻。也因此我往往記不起名字來。沒想到你們在加國買CD是這麼貴，是不是因為有patent的關係？在美國，Classical CDs比流行曲的平四分三，五元以下便可買到一隻，肯多逛逛有時兩三塊的也不難找。音色方面我覺得已相當不錯，玩音響的也許會覺得難聽一點。選擇也算頗多，只是通常被放於唱片店的角落處，亂七八糟的一大堆，對古典樂好像有點不太尊重。 Gershwin的作品可說是古典和爵士的混合體。所以你提到的那幾首都可算是爵士一流。我不太喜歡聽那管弦樂伴奏，反而Saxophone的伴奏較有味道。不竟他也是屬於現代人啊！
CC 個人資料 \| email	posted 07-07-98 9:08 PM ET (US) 我相信小豬所指「比流行曲便宜四分三」的CD 是那些沒有名氣的 Bargain Labels 或大唱片公司(如 DG, Philips, London, Sony, Telarc, BMG等)的 bargain-priced reissues，其實這些平價唱片在加拿大都是五至八塊加餅，並不會比美國那邊貴。我也常到圖書館借CD，根據紀錄我已借過近300 CD 或 video cassette。不過圖書館收藏的比較「大路」或過分學術(大學圖書館裡 1920 Cortot 的 Chopin 也有)，而且撥款一年比一年少，新碟亦愈來愈少。一些冷門的唱片如 String Trio 或 Chamber Orchestra 編版的 Goldberg Variations 當然沒有，要聽的話唯有掏腰包。近兩年多從 mail order 公司 limited 的 selections 中選「大路」唱片，省下來的錢便到賣 Classical Music CD 的專門店「博」。講開又講，BMG 那 10 for the price of 1 的 Introductory offer 真好，只要付一片正價CD的金錢(另加 S&H 與 taxes)就有10片CD ，收到CD後立即退會，並無手尾……而且選擇、甚至精品也多，相信是最大的 bargain。

Kuku 個人資料 \| email	posted 08-04-98 8:39 PM ET (US) PIglet: yeah..i got the same problem too..i got small hands..and sometimes it's really hard to play big intervals...my left hand can reach 9 degrees..but my right hand can't.. and it makes my fingers really sore to practice those octave scales. Actuallly i think Bach's music is hard to learn rather than hard to play. It's quite hard to learn the fuga....but once i memorize it..it's ok...it takes me about 4 hrs to memorize my fuga solidly >_< so that's quite a lot of work...>_< dunno lei...i tend to like romantic music better...i can get the rite feeling faster... and more willing to practice those pieces. last time when i play my teacher the study by Heller..my teacher said that " u played it too musically..this piece is more technical" =P that's why i like Beethoven bettter than Mozart, i like music that are more musical and emotional. um..i have a question.. will ur shoulder / any part of ur body get sore after u palyed piano for a long time? if i practice for more than one hour non-stop, my shoulder gets really sore.. maybe it's becuz i'm sitting in a wrong position >_<
KC 個人資料 \| email	posted 08-06-98 5:33 AM ET (US) KUKU: 放鬆點身子罷！我猜你彈琴時定是很"肉緊"，身子一動不動。這樣不累死才怪啊。嘗試練琴時身子盡可能放鬆（包括手指），別要運全身子的力壓在那五根小指頭來應付ffff的樂段，改為用手指以及手臂巧妙的取力，而身子則應是永遠處於鬆弛狀態。放鬆啊，一齊求自然。手小嘛，別氣餒啊。不知有沒五尺高的De Larrocha 的那雙手不見得比你的大，卻能應付那些就連擁有一雙Rachmaninoff size的手的大個子也怕怕的 Brahms 2nd concerto以及Rachmaninoff 3rd conc. 所以嘛，別見到八度就耍手擰頭掉頭走啊。克服它罷！！ Added to this would be my recommendation to buy a so-called artist bench (Just a suggestion , frankly speaking I've never tried). These are padded, are height adjustable , and most of them have a slight forward tilt, all of which will do much to avoid fatigue.但當然，自身的放鬆始終是最重要。努力！！努力！！
piglet 個人資料 \| email	posted 08-06-98 8:22 PM ET (US) Dear KuKu, Surprisingly, I've never got tired while practising my piano. But my wrist hurts a lot when I type. It seems like the motion are just the same, so, it shouldn't happen. But it did. Maybe it's because I was always interrupted while playing. My piano's in the sitting room and so is the TV. I always choose the wrong time to play it which means I have to give ways to other. To be honest, I haven't played it very often now after I quitted my lesson. Even if I do, I'll be playing more modern songs, like Boardway musicals. 高矮肥廋大概和手的大小沒關係罷？但對八度的恐懼確是要靠多練習來克服的。
KC 個人資料 \| email	posted 08-07-98 5:13 AM ET (US) Piglet: De Larrocha的手小是樂壇公認的，David Dubal訪問她時也問她手那麼小怎應付某某樂曲。並非我見她個子小而猜她手的大小。 "高矮肥廋大概和手的大小沒關係罷" 這我就不知道了。但七尺高的人的手肯定比五尺高的人的手要大，這你不會不同意罷？
Kuku 個人資料 \| email	posted 08-08-98 1:42 AM ET (US) thanks for ur advice ah KC ^_^ i think u're rite my body got so intense when i'm nervous.. my exam is coming up and last week end i played for 5 hrs a day and my shoulders are so sore that i couldn't play anymore but i really wanna practice more cuz i'm not ready for the exam yet >_< yeah i tried my best to work on the octaves ..but sometimes it really hurts i usually practice it for a while then practice other things.. and come back to it later.. piglet: yeah..i feel sore when i typed for a long time too.....so mah farn..ai.. hehe acutally i'm very lazy usually don't practice piano a lot less then an hour a day and sometimes don't even practise but now exam is close so really need to work >_<

Anyway, that's outside the point. I find that I prefer shumann's music...dunno why, but I like his pieces better...maybe that motivates me to practise more^_^ Hey, what about Scarlatti? I've got a piece by him in my exam...it's the easiest one to play out of all^_^

List A is the Baroque period, B is Classis, C is Romantic, D is Early 20th century E is 20th century. List E is the one i hate the most. I like morden music.

Airshark 個人資料 \| email	posted 09-01-98 2:55 AM ET (US) 那要看哪個作曲家的什麼音樂，有些作曲家就是不大適應其他音樂形式，如蕭邦只會做鋼琴曲、西貝流士只會做管弦樂曲、帕格尼尼只會做弦樂曲，這些作曲家做其他的曲子都蠻難聽的。不過有些作曲家士不受此限的，如貝多芬、莫札特、巴哈，但是你總不能期望每個時代都有那麼多的天才，做人要知足一點。

I've always sat the Royal ones coz apparently it's harder...I dont know... Anyway, the exam itself goes like this: You have to do scales...(I HATE Grd 8 scales, they are just so hard><) and then an aural test....then you play 3 pieces; each from the 3 groups - A) Baroque (That's my Scarlatti this year) B) Classical (That's my Bach) c) Contemporary (My Shumann piece)

CC 個人資料 \| email	posted 07-07-98 9:08 PM ET (US) 我相信小豬所指「比流行曲便宜四分三」的CD 是那些沒有名氣的 Bargain Labels 或大唱片公司(如 DG, Philips, London, Sony, Telarc, BMG等)的 bargain-priced reissues，其實這些平價唱片在加拿大都是五至八塊加餅，並不會比美國那邊貴。我也常到圖書館借CD，根據紀錄我已借過近300 CD 或 video cassette。不過圖書館收藏的比較「大路」或過分學術(大學圖書館裡 1920 Cortot 的 Chopin 也有)，而且撥款一年比一年少，新碟亦愈來愈少。一些冷門的唱片如 String Trio 或 Chamber Orchestra 編版的 Goldberg Variations 當然沒有，要聽的話唯有掏腰包。近兩年多從 mail order 公司 limited 的 selections 中選「大路」唱片，省下來的錢便到賣 Classical Music CD 的專門店「博」。講開又講，BMG 那 10 for the price of 1 的 Introductory offer 真好，只要付一片正價CD的金錢(另加 S&H 與 taxes)就有10片CD ，收到CD後立即退會，並無手尾……而且選擇、甚至精品也多，相信是最大的 bargain。

Kuku 個人資料 \| email	posted 08-04-98 8:39 PM ET (US) PIglet: yeah..i got the same problem too..i got small hands..and sometimes it's really hard to play big intervals...my left hand can reach 9 degrees..but my right hand can't.. and it makes my fingers really sore to practice those octave scales. Actuallly i think Bach's music is hard to learn rather than hard to play. It's quite hard to learn the fuga....but once i memorize it..it's ok...it takes me about 4 hrs to memorize my fuga solidly >_< so that's quite a lot of work...>_< dunno lei...i tend to like romantic music better...i can get the rite feeling faster... and more willing to practice those pieces. last time when i play my teacher the study by Heller..my teacher said that " u played it too musically..this piece is more technical" =P that's why i like Beethoven bettter than Mozart, i like music that are more musical and emotional. um..i have a question.. will ur shoulder / any part of ur body get sore after u palyed piano for a long time? if i practice for more than one hour non-stop, my shoulder gets really sore.. maybe it's becuz i'm sitting in a wrong position >_<
KC 個人資料 \| email	posted 08-06-98 5:33 AM ET (US) KUKU: 放鬆點身子罷！我猜你彈琴時定是很"肉緊"，身子一動不動。這樣不累死才怪啊。嘗試練琴時身子盡可能放鬆（包括手指），別要運全身子的力壓在那五根小指頭來應付ffff的樂段，改為用手指以及手臂巧妙的取力，而身子則應是永遠處於鬆弛狀態。放鬆啊，一齊求自然。手小嘛，別氣餒啊。不知有沒五尺高的De Larrocha 的那雙手不見得比你的大，卻能應付那些就連擁有一雙Rachmaninoff size的手的大個子也怕怕的 Brahms 2nd concerto以及Rachmaninoff 3rd conc. 所以嘛，別見到八度就耍手擰頭掉頭走啊。克服它罷！！ Added to this would be my recommendation to buy a so-called artist bench (Just a suggestion , frankly speaking I've never tried). These are padded, are height adjustable , and most of them have a slight forward tilt, all of which will do much to avoid fatigue.但當然，自身的放鬆始終是最重要。努力！！努力！！
piglet 個人資料 \| email	posted 08-06-98 8:22 PM ET (US) Dear KuKu, Surprisingly, I've never got tired while practising my piano. But my wrist hurts a lot when I type. It seems like the motion are just the same, so, it shouldn't happen. But it did. Maybe it's because I was always interrupted while playing. My piano's in the sitting room and so is the TV. I always choose the wrong time to play it which means I have to give ways to other. To be honest, I haven't played it very often now after I quitted my lesson. Even if I do, I'll be playing more modern songs, like Boardway musicals. 高矮肥廋大概和手的大小沒關係罷？但對八度的恐懼確是要靠多練習來克服的。
KC 個人資料 \| email	posted 08-07-98 5:13 AM ET (US) Piglet: De Larrocha的手小是樂壇公認的，David Dubal訪問她時也問她手那麼小怎應付某某樂曲。並非我見她個子小而猜她手的大小。 "高矮肥廋大概和手的大小沒關係罷" 這我就不知道了。但七尺高的人的手肯定比五尺高的人的手要大，這你不會不同意罷？
Kuku 個人資料 \| email	posted 08-08-98 1:42 AM ET (US) thanks for ur advice ah KC ^_^ i think u're rite my body got so intense when i'm nervous.. my exam is coming up and last week end i played for 5 hrs a day and my shoulders are so sore that i couldn't play anymore but i really wanna practice more cuz i'm not ready for the exam yet >_< yeah i tried my best to work on the octaves ..but sometimes it really hurts i usually practice it for a while then practice other things.. and come back to it later.. piglet: yeah..i feel sore when i typed for a long time too.....so mah farn..ai.. hehe acutally i'm very lazy usually don't practice piano a lot less then an hour a day and sometimes don't even practise but now exam is close so really need to work >_<

Kuku 個人資料 \| email	posted 08-27-98 2:16 AM ET (US) re: Ajen Chopin is not that hard to play lah..i think Robert Schumann and Liszt's are harder. Chopin's music is quite easy to understand, but sometimes have trouble playing it becuz my hand is too small. >_<
Ajen 個人資料 \| email	posted 08-27-98 8:16 PM ET (US) 是嗎kuku? 我的手是滿大的。。I can manage from middle C to the E...the E that comes after the octave. 而且 I can also manage an octave with my thumb and index finger. Anyway, that's outside the point. I find that I prefer shumann's music...dunno why, but I like his pieces better...maybe that motivates me to practise more^_^ Hey, what about Scarlatti? I've got a piece by him in my exam...it's the easiest one to play out of all^_^
Kuku 個人資料 \| email	posted 08-28-98 1:42 AM ET (US) Re: Ajen I'm so jealous ah, i can't even reach an 9 degree interval with my right hand >_< um.I've never play any pieces written by Scarlatti b4, sorry. btw..what kind of examination system do they got in NZ. in canada, for grade 10, we have to play 5 pieces (list a-e) and 2 studys. List A is the Baroque period, B is Classis, C is Romantic, D is Early 20th century E is 20th century. List E is the one i hate the most. I like morden music.

Airshark 個人資料 \| email	posted 09-01-98 2:55 AM ET (US) 那要看哪個作曲家的什麼音樂，有些作曲家就是不大適應其他音樂形式，如蕭邦只會做鋼琴曲、西貝流士只會做管弦樂曲、帕格尼尼只會做弦樂曲，這些作曲家做其他的曲子都蠻難聽的。不過有些作曲家士不受此限的，如貝多芬、莫札特、巴哈，但是你總不能期望每個時代都有那麼多的天才，做人要知足一點。

I've always sat the Royal ones coz apparently it's harder...I dont know... Anyway, the exam itself goes like this: You have to do scales...(I HATE Grd 8 scales, they are just so hard><) and then an aural test....then you play 3 pieces; each from the 3 groups - A) Baroque (That's my Scarlatti this year) B) Classical (That's my Bach) c) Contemporary (My Shumann piece)
