and now the truth. . .see it was out there all along

my name is jay e lynch. i'm a composer, percussionist, and educator. i just got one of them thar degrees in music edumacation, from none other than the crane school of music at suny potsdam. i just finished up there, and spent this past semester student teaching.

for those of you who have been here before, i have been updating the pages, so, most of it is now linked down below



pictures of me the first is me and the nice yamaha vibes after a jazz concert in the fall 99 semester...the second is me and one of the mussers after a marimba ensemble concert at crane during my freshman year. . .i wrote a piece for the concert entitled 2545...it was a cellular composition of about ten minutes or so, it went over fairly well. it was an interesting experience with the piece, which i have grown to slightly, well not really dislike, i just have come to the realization that this sort of music is not the kind i wish to write.
