Our Musical Biographies
Vanessa Jayne
Graduated from Univerity of Illinois at Urbana/Champaign with a Bachelors in Music Education. She has studied with Alexander Murray, Phil Dikeman, Margaret Stefansdottir, and Barbara Ogar. Currently she is teaching lessons out of her studio in Elgin, IL as well as teaching for School District U-46. She has peformed with many groups including the University of Illinois Bands and Oratorio socitey. She also has performed as a studio musician and conductor as well as performing for some new music premiers at the University of Illinois. In high school she performed with the Barb Ogar flute choir, was the piccolo player for the area honor band and participated in the Detroit Flute Festival in 1993.
Jennifer Wickett
Graduated from Western Illinois University with a Bachelors in Music Education. She was the departmental scholar at Western Illinois while there. She has played in The Elgin Youth Orchestra, Schaumburg Youth orchestra, Jacksonville orchestra, Knox-Galesburg orchestra, and the Southesast Iowa orchestra. She had studied with Michael Masters, and Tayna l. Carey. She has taught at the Rockford College in conjunction with the Suzuki program there. She taught the Suzuki orchestra while at college as well as private Suzuki students. Currently she teaches out of her studio in Bartlett, IL as well as teaching for School District U-46. She performs with the Skokie Symphony Orchestra.
