Max's Choral Music
Over the years Max has written choral music for the choirs
that he has directed. These anthems and choral pieces have also
been performed by a number of other choirs. The following list
does include some of Max's arrangements for choir of a more "serious"

- "A Prayer" - SATB a capella (text by the composer).
- "Awake, My Heart" - An American folk hymn (Devizes, C.M.) arranged for SATB with organ accompaniment
- "Carol of the Wise Men" - in three versions: SATB
a capella, SATB with organ accompaniment, and TTBB with organ
accompaniment (text by the composer).
- "Create in Me" - SATB accompanied (text from Psalm
51).
- "Death, Be Not Proud" - text by John Doone. for
a cappella choir (SSATTBB).
- "Doxology Alternatives" - unison and SATB - (descants
and hymn tunes, and original doxologies, edited and compiled
by Max Myover).
- "Gloria!" - Gloria in excelsis Deo. SATB accompanied
- "He is Risen" - SATB accompanied (text by the composer).
- "Kyrie Eleison" - for a cappella choir (SATB).
- "Li'l Boy Named David" - an American folk spiritual
arranged by Max Myover for SATB a capella. Published by Clayton

- "Magnificat (Song of Mary)" and "Nunc Dimittis
(Song of Simeon) - for Alto Flute, Choir (SATB), and Harp or
Keyboard (text from St. Luke).
- "My Song Shall be Alway" - by Henry Purcell, edited
and arranged by Max Myover for SATB with Bass solo.
- "O My Dove" - SATB a capella (text from the Song
of Solomon).
- "Rise Up, My Love" - SATB a capella (text from
the Song of Solomon).
- "Shenandoah" - an American folk song aranged for
male choir (TTBB divided) by Max Myover. Includes a tenor solo.
- "The Garden Hymn" - an American folk hymn arranged
by Max Myover for SSAATTBB with organ accompaniment.
- "The Infancy of Christ" - A cantata in three parts
for mixed voices (SATB) with key- board accompaniment (text from
St. Matthew, Chapters 1 and 2). Part 1: "The Nativity;"
Part 2: "The Adoration of the Magi;" Part 3: "The
Flight into Egypt."
- "The National Anthem" - The third and fourth verses
of the Star Spangled Banner arranged by Max Myover for
SATB with a narrator (includes a portion of the melody from America).
- "The Night Will Never Stay" - SATB a capella (text
by Eleanor Farjeon)
- "This is the Day" - SATB a capella (text from Psalms).
- "Three Lyrics From Leaves of Grass " - text
by Walt Whitman. 1. Beautiful Women, 2. Thought,

- "Were You There When They Crucified My Lord?" -
an American folk hymn Max has arranged for male chorus with tenor
solo. Two choruses.
- "Ye Banks and Braes of Bonnie Doon" -a Scottish
folk ballad arranged by Max Myover for SATB with piano and guitar
(optional) accompaniment
