Max's Song List
The following list of titles contains a number of songs written
by Max Myover and, in most cases, a notation as to the type of
song. The list does not include most of the songs that Max has
written for musicals. All of the songs that are a part of Max's
musicals can be found under Musicals
.

- "Gateway City Rag" - a vaudville two-step about
the city of St. Louis, MO.
- "Ya Gotta Put a Little Showbiz in the T.V. News"
- a vaudville comedy song.
Songs with lyrics by Elizabeth Clark
Note: All of the songs with lyrics by Elizabeth Clark are satirical,
humorous songs or parodies. Many of them have lyrics that are
topical. The songs were written for presentation by entertainers
in a night club type setting.
- "Calypso Toast" - celebrate love, joy, and happiness
in a musical toast- calypso style.
- "Covered All Over With Girl Stuff" - a musical
statement regarding a preference for feminity- in a Paris music
hall style.
- "Go Streakin' Through" - sub-titled Victorian
Streak, this song admits to enjoying streaking while upholding
the qualities of a bygone age- in a gospel rock style.
- "Let's Forget the Chappaquiddick" - an Irish waltz
clog praising many of our country's brave heroes- but asking
that we forget one incident.
- "My Love Was a High Lady" - a modern folk ballad
about a one-time mortgage banker and his romance with a savings-and-loan
vice-president.
- "Please Don't Put Dickie Down" - a plea by a ex-President's
mother asking that her son be treated more kindly- in waltz time.
- "The International Brotherhood of Ex-Egyptian Cavalry,
Survivors of the Great Red Sea Campaign" - the "real"
story behind the Hebrews defeat of the Egyptians in biblical
times- with a rock beat.
- "The Wife of the Company President" - a "patter"
song with some advice to secretaries who want to marry their
bosses- from one who should know.
- "The World is all Messed Up Today" - as if we don't
have enough to complain about!
- "Think Yachts" - a "show tune" with some
sage advice to young girls thinking of marrying well.
- "I Only Want a Nice Guy" - an opposing view on
the kind of man to marry. This song is a integral partner of
"Think Yachts," but with a different attitude.
- "When I Was a Lass" - sort of a fable in the style
of a Gilbert and Sullivan duet for girl and boy from a short,
non-existent operetta.
