Kala Freesen- Kala,or should I say Muffin, is our senior trumpet player. She is a member of Marching Band(Section Leader),Jazz Band(Lead Trumpet),Pep Band(Lead Trumpet),and Symphonic band(Principal).Kala is(has been) involved in All-District Jazz,All-District Band,Chorus,PCC Honors Chorus,WYSE,MacMurray Community Band,Winchester Community Band,National Honors Society,Jacksonville Theater Guild Pit Band,PCC Honors Band(Principal),ISHA Contest,and Drama Dept(On Stage). She has also served as Vice President and Treasurer of her class.Not to mention one year on the High School Student Council. Kala will be attending either Western Illinois University or Millikin University and majoring in Music Education.
I can't very well write this part because it's about me. It's not hard to list what I've been in,but past that. This spot will be filled when I can find someone to write it for me.
Corey Bowman- Corey is our senior tuba player.He is a member of the Symphonic band(Principal),Jazz Band(Lead Trombone),Marching Band(Tuba),and Pep Band(Tuba).He is(has been) involved in All-District Band,WYSE,Student of The Month,ISHA Contest,PCC Honors Band(Principal),Drama Dept.(on stage),Student Advisory, Office Help,All-State band,and Winchester Community Band. He has also served as treasurer and Vice President of his class. Corey's plans after High School include Quincy University with study in the field of Law Enforcement.
Corey is the one and only senior guy. When he isn't playing tuba or lifting weights you can usually find him driving his speedy Mustang. This guy can lift more than anyone I know so look out! He lifts at Pools Gym a couple times a week. I wish him luck in all that he does. The band will miss him!
Tasha Large- Tasha is a senior flag corps member.She is the Marching Indians Flag Corps Captain.She has been in Pep Band(clarinet) and Symphonic Band(second clarinet). This year will fly by! I mean this is it you guys, WE are now the seniors! Our Senior Prom, class trip, and last concerts are coming up shortly. We've been through A LOT together! I'm talking like Kindergarten with you guys. We made it through grade school and Jr. High with three different band directors. Now we are closing in on our last year! Let's make it blast!!
