Currently living in Innsbruck, Austria, soprano Jennifer Maines-Chamandy has been an ensemble member of the Tiroler Landestheater (TLT) since May of 2003. Under the artistic leadership of the world renowned mezzo-soprano KS Brigitte Fassbaender.
Jennifer is now one of the world's current Salome's. She debuted the role in February of 2006 at the Tiroler Landestheater to tremendous public applause and critical acclaim.
Continuing along this repertoire path, Jennifer will debut Senta in Der Fliegende Hollaender next season (2006-2007).
Other highlights in Innsbruck include The Countess in The Marriage of Figaro, Ellen Orford in Peter Grimes, The Duchess in Powder Her Face, Helena in A Midsummer Night's Dream, and Sylva Varescu in Die Csardasfürstin.
As well as The First Lady in Mozart's Magic Flute, La Comtesse in Massenet's Chérubin, Laura in Der Bettelstudent, Brunnhilde in Die Lustigen Nibelungen, Alcina in E.Streul's adaptation from Handel's opera and an understudy of Elisabeth in Don Carlos. Jennifer also performed both Axinja and the Zwangsarbeiterin in Lady Macbeth von Mzensk by Shostakovich, the latter of which she sang in a day's notice in Wiesbaden making her debut there.
