Rosa Rio is a living legend among theatre organists. Her engagements as a house organist in the 1920s and 1930s included the Loew's New York Theater Chain and movie palaces such as the New Orleans Saenger Theater, the Brooklyn Paramount, and the Brooklyn Fox. She later served as staff organist for the NBC Radio Network, providing music for The Shadow, Cavalvcade of America, Town Hall Tonight, My True Story, and many other shows. NBC also featured Rosa in her own network broadcast, Rosa Rio Rhythms. She continues to concertize today, playing to packed houses for silent movies at the magnificent Tampa Theater in Tampa, Florida.
