Lunch with Aunt Joan & Uncle Bob

Here's Evan & Grampy Bob
Evan & Nana Joan
(General clarification. Nana & Grampy are my Aunt & Uncle who have volunteered to be surrogate grandparents since both of my folks are dead. Uncle Bob is my father's brother who, coincidentally married a woman named Joan.)
Evan & Uncle Bruce
after a busy day of visiting, Evan takes a little nap with Teddy.

Evan's almost rolling over (back to front). He did it once today, but it was an accident. I'm hoping he'll be able to do it intentionally soon. I forget to leave him on his tummy so he hasn't really tried rolling over front to back.

He's still drooling a lot but I'm still not feeling any pre-teeth bumps on his gums. Mabe he's just practicing drooling so he'll know how when the time comes.

He's starting to relate to "Blue Bear". Evan is choosing it over the other toys in the crib. We think it's ‘cuz Blue Bear's face is clear and in the right orientation. His other stuffed animals have their faces more towards the top of their heads (more like the animals that they're s'posed to be). Blue Bear smiles directly at you when he's sitting up.

Yesterday Evan started rice cereal. So far he's not impressed. Eating things in baby-spoon-sized portions is pretty tedious and inefficient. Both yesterday and today I've had to give Evan some mild in a bottle before he'd consider the cereal. Once he had taken the edge off his hunger then he seems willing to humor Mummy by eating some cereal.
