"Servus Du" -- An Evening Celebrating the Life and Music of Robert Stolz, by German lyric tenor Hans Erich Halberstadt, with the Washington Saengerbund (held at the Austrian Embassy in November 2000).
Washington Saengerbund Fall Concert and Dance: "Zwei Herzen im 3/4 Takt (Two Hearts in 3/4 Time)" featuring the music of Robert Stolz (held at Knobloch Hall) took place in November 2000. Photo report coming soon.

150th Anniversary Gala Celebration of the Washington S�ngerbund, at Ft. McNair Officers' Club on April 21, 2001.

Spring Concert at the Embassy of Germany, May 11, 2001, 8 pm. Music for Spring Concert: Bleib bei uns (Rheinberger), Denn er hat seinen Engeln befohlen (F. Mendelssohn-Bartholdy), Drei Volkslieder - Abschied v. Walde (F. Mendelssohn-Bartholdy), Abendfeier in Venedig (Clara Schumann), Zigeunerleben (Robert Schumann), �ber L�nder und Meere (Rosenstengel).

Re-enactment of 1869 Memorial Day Program, Arlington National Cemetery, May 30, 2001, 5 pm. Music performed: Abschied vom Walde, Men's Choral--Our Native Land, The Hymn of Peace, Commit Thy Way, Women's Choral--Shall We Know Each Other There?

Invited Choirs

Blaskapelle "Goldene Trompeten" on September 12, 2000, at 7:30 pm at the German Embassy, Washington, DC. With Conductor and Artistic Director Vladimir Artovitsch Akopjan. The brass band "Goldene Trompeten" (Golden Trumpets) from Engels in the Russian Federation was comprised of 30 musicians ranging in age from 12 to 24, 5 singers, and 4 dancing couples.

Rheinland Chor at the Embassy of Germany on April 26, 2001, under the direction of Theodore Hegemann, FDB, in a Benefit Concert to support the Outreach Ministries of the United Church.
