We spent four marvelous days with singing, swimming, rehearsals,
entertainment and above all lots of fun and laughing. The small concert
we performed was a pleasant surprise for the campers.

The Phonolites invited the renowned Lomonosov Moscow State University
Academic Choir for a joint concert in Thessaloniki. The Choir of Moscow
University was established in 1775 and is the oldest choir in Russia.
Many famous and distinguished musicians and composers directed the
Choir, like Peter Tchaikovsky, Serafim Popov etc. Today the director is
Mirza Askerov. The choir performed traditional Russian songs.

The Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, the Faculty of Sciences and
the School of Geology honored in this plain but touching ceremony the
emeritus professor Vasilis Papazachos for his contribution to the
science and society. The Phonolites sung for this great man and
scientist.
