Yes, here at last! A decent mixer for Windows 95/98/NT. Ignore the title, this program will work with all sound cards that I have tried :-)

This program has only one purpose in life - to enable you to control the audio inputs and outputs of your PC with ease and maximum control. Every mixer I have found on the web has the following limitations:

• Ungraduated Volume controls for input and output
• Tiny, ungraduated Balance controls that are impossible to set accurately
• No simple way to "centre" a control
• No way to make the controls larger

I am currently transferring my vinyl collection (yes, I am old :) to CD for personal use. It is just about impossible to control Line In and Balance with the supplied Windows 95, 98 or NT mixers.

Enter XG/GS Enhanced Mixer! As you can see from the screen shot above, it can do all of the above, including the following:

• Choose your favourite controls for recording - 1 to 4 controls can be used together
• Set each control to 0.5% accuracy and display the control value
• Centre any control by clicking on the Volume or Balance control values
• Mute any line from the main panel
• Set any line to zero volume by right clicking its Mute setting
• Drag mixer width to maximise the sliders for those working on 1024x768 resolution!
• Save and Restore your favourite mixer Presets
• Name your own Presets
• Minimise the mixer into the System Tray
• Initialise your mixer at Windows startup via a command line interface!

All suggestions for improvement greatly received. I hope this makes your life easier, as it did mine!
