Dancing the Park

This runs Tuesdays in May and June. Edwards Gardens is southwest of Lawrence and Leslie Streets.

Usually the weather is excellent, but sometimes we worry about rain. Once the go no-go decision is made by about 4 PM on the day of the dance, a message will be left on the Toronto Association's phone number 416-410-7078.

Note: Some dances are on several programs and are shown on a common sheet.

Sep 17-19 Toronto Association Weekend Workshop Cranberry Hotel, Colluingwood, Teachers Geoffrey Selling Philadelphia,

SAT. Nov. 27, 1999The St. Andrew's Ball Royal York Hotel, Toronto Co-sponsored by the 48th Highlanders of Canada and the St. Andrew's Society of Toronto. Music by Bobby Brown and the Scottish Accent.

The evening begins with a reception followed by a gourmet dinner including haggis addressed in the immortal words of Robert Burns. The Military Band of the 48th Highlanders will be present during the dinner. Following dinner there will be dancing in two ballrooms. Scottish Country Dancing in one of the ballrooms will be to the music of Bobby Brown and the Scottish Accent and Ceilidh Dancing in the other will be to the Pipes and Drums of the 48th Highlanders. The evening concludes with the thrilling military ceremony, "Beating Retreat". Proceeds go to charitable work in downtown Toronto. Tickets are $85 per person.
