A note from the page editor




When I started the orchestra articles page, this was used to share what was going on with regard to the financial situation the arts, symphony orchestras in particular, were facing. Never in my mind did I ever expect this page to get so much attention, nor did I expect it to be a source for archived information about the San Antonio Symphony. I thank all who have supported this page.

With advancing technology and my increasing obligations to other projects, I have only archived articles about the SAS from the years 1997-2000. However, the following should be noted:

All of the orchestra articles written here are from the San Antonio Express-News. Credit is given to the original authors and not to the page editor. The articles are here out of the courtesy to the public. Copyright of the orchestra articles is only to the Express-News. The copyright on the design of the page belongs to the webpage.

One other note: This page is not endorsed by the Symphony Society of San Antonio, The San Antonio Symphony, the Musicians of the San Antonio Symphony nor Local 23 of the American Federation of Musicians.
