Without a car - Bang in the middle of Penzance, which is a sizeable town, with a station. Good public transport, fantastic local butchers, cheesemongers etc, and plenty to see even out of season. Good for eating out too.

Endorse the first entry. This is a gorgeous, quirky building with the winter bonus of being lovely and warm. Lots of Log comments about noise from the street at closing time - which there is - but it doesn't last very long. 10/10
