The Old Parsonage
Reviews:
(Provided by Meg McComb.) An expensive hi-season stay but the many windows looking down the long, verdant, fruit-tree & flower filled garden to the Thames, lazy late afternoon Pim's whilst watching the water, people and swans plus superb wood paneled rooms redolent of history made it well worth. Excellent for children. Wonderful walkies to town and about.
- Leslie Patterson: A lovely Tudor house in gorgeous, leafy green surroundings. The
house
has beautiful windows, large rooms, high ceilings, a working
fireplace,
and excellent if noisy heating. The garden stretching down to the
Isis
is glorious, and any visitor should be sure to make time to feed the
greedy swans. The 40 minute walk into Oxford along the river is
scenic
and great exercise, but there are pub stops along the way. Stop at
the
Isis Tavern for a refreshing pint, but if you are after food, it is
better to try the Head of the River. Warning: Do not tell a taxi
driver
to take you to the Old Parsonage. They will automatically think you
mean the hotel of the same name in Oxford. Say that you want to go
to
the Church on Mill Lane in Iffley.
