GENERAL STUFF
Meet Haruka (Ha-loo-kah). This short-tempered and very athletic girl is the (in)famous Sailoruranus (セーラーウラナス). She is very masculine (though slightly less so in the manga). At the beginning of the S season, Haruka runs into the Senshi several times...usually unpleasantly. Uranus is very cold and distant from the Inner Senshi and especially Sailormoon, but she likes Usagi and often teases her by flirting just to embarrass her. Uranus' attitude toward Sailormoon changes noticably when she realizes that Moon and Odango (Haruka's pet name for Usagi) are one and the same. She is always hanging around with Michiru. She chooses to wear a boys uniform at Mugen Gauken Academy, where she goes to school. When Usagi and Minako first saw Haruka, they thought she was a very handsome boy and shamelessly hit on "him". ^^ It didn't seem to matter to Makoto that Haruka is a woman, she still goes after "him"! ^^;; Seiya also remarks that Haruka is a very handsome young man, and promptly gets jealous. He thinks Usagi is lying when she says Haruka is a girl. I wonder why since that's basically how Seiya is... Haruka and Michiru are lovers; although she is never shown to kiss Michiru, she DOES, however, kiss a very stunned Usagi! ^^ That was in the manga though. She's extremely protective of Michiru and Usagi, both, but powerful and totally goal oriented; therefore, she was willing to sacrifice Moon, Neptune, and herself in order to save the world from the Silence. Her powers are over earth, winds, and the heavens and kick major butt.
MY OPINION
I'm kind of borderline with Uranus. I have nothing against her; I just don't like the way she handles some things. She was like an Ice Prince(ss?) ^^;; in S and carries arrogance right up until the end. She's not as bad as Michiru about that, though, and I do admire her strength and her will. Those are two important parts of her. Also she has shows such raw loyalty in the ways she tries so hard to protect that it's touching. So overall, she's okay. I was displeased with her American name, though. Many names in Japan, such as Haruka, can be given to a child of either gender. There were similar American options out there that were, in my opinion, far better but not chosen. I'm a little scared to go into the looks. Um, I love the shoes! ^^;; Those kind of half-length gloves are cool. But without beating around the bush, Uranus looks like a mixed bag of gender qualities. ^^; In that short skirt, leotard, high heeled shoes, and all those bows, it almost looks like she's the opposite of what she is unless you're looking for the breasts. ^^;;; Haruka is portrayed as a masculine girl, but though she is drawn more effeminate at times, Uranus usually comes off as a feminine guy! Woah! This is getting complicated. ~.~ When my sister first saw Uranus kicking butt on TV, she asked me what on earth that cute guy was doing in a mini-skirt! ^^;
TRANSFORMATIONS
Uranus Planet Power, make up!
Haruka grips her henshin stick and says this to transform into Sailoruranus and Super Sailoruranus.

World Shaking!
Sailoruranus creates a yellow mini-planet and slams it into the ground where it tears around until it hits an enemy.

Sailoruranus draws her glowing sword and uses it to cut up just about anything (except Galaxia! ^^).
