The Company


The company was formed in September 1997 and consists of dancers whose ages range from 11 to 25 years of age. Members of the Maxwell Collis Ballet Theatre enjoy a number of benefits including : 
    Membership in a professional Company.

    Structured Classes and tuition.

    Participation in workshops and mentoring by a professional classical dancer.

    Opportunity to perform in full length classical ballets.

    Opportunity to perform on tour.

    Eligibility for the Maxwell Collis Ballet Scholarship.

    Experience the lifestyle of a professional dancer.

    Opportunity to make an informed decision on a dancing career.

    Potential opportunity of a cereer in dancing in South Australia.

Potential members will need to complete the application form and be prepared to make a twelve months commitment to become members of the Maxwell Collis Ballet Theatre. Upon acceptance and payment of the membership fee (renewable annually) the applicants will be entitled to the following :
    Attendance at scheduled classes over the the four school term period.

    The right to audition for scheduled performances.

    The right to audition for tours.

    Eligible to apply for the Maxwell Collis Ballet Scholarship.

    Attendance at Summer and/or Special workshops.

    Attendance at workshops conducted by interstate/overseas professional dancers.

    Attendance at functions of the Company.
     
    Membership Fees $100 per term
    (4 x 10 weeks)
    Costume Fee $50 per term

    Tour costs will be advised as these occur, however every effort will be made by the management to keep these to a minimum.

    Summer/Special workshop fees to be advised as these events are planned.

    It is the intention of the board of Management to minimise costs to the young dancers as much as possible to ensure their participation.
