Machú Gutiérrez López - sopran

Born in Granada where she studied Music Theory, Cello and Choral Singing. She started her carrier as a singer in 1986, and she has belonged to various choral groups since then, singing as a soloist in plenty of occasions. She has taken lectures on Vocal Technique from Esperanza Abad and Lola Arenas, extending her formation on Interpretation Technique with David van Asch, Harry Christophers, Adolfo Gutiérrez Viejo and the British group The Scholars. She has developed tours around Poland, Germany, England, Portugal and Belgium. She has collaborated with the followings orchestras: New Chamber American Orchestra, Staatsorchesters Braunschweig and Orquesta Ciudad de Granada, and she has worked with Harry Christophers, Juan de Udaeta, Adolfo Gutiérrez Viejo, Mischa Raschlevscky, Jordi Casas, Agnes Kauer and Josep Pons, among others.

Pablo Heras Casado - alto







Javier Rico Castro - tenor

Born in Granada in 1973. He has studied Music Theory and Piano. He has taken lectures on singing and vocal technique from Esperanza Abad and Lola Arenas. Since 1989 he has belonged to many choirs, and he has been soloist in all of them. He has performed concerts in many places in Spain and in Germany, Belgium, France and Switzerland as well. Among the performings he has taken part in, we can stress the followings: Dido and Aeneas (H. Purcell), Messa da Requiem (G. Verdi), Symphonie nº 2 (G. Mahler), Carmina Burana (C. Orff), Fantasy for piano, choir and orchestra (L. van Beethoven), Membra Jesu Nostri (D. Buxtehude), Mass in B minor (J. S. Bach), and a wide repertory on vocal music from XV, XVI and XVII centuries. He has worked with the following conductors: James Conlon, Adolfo Gutiérrez Viejo, Jordi Casas, Harry Christophers and Josep Pons, among others. He has also collaborated with the followings orchestras: Europenan Community Youth Orchestra, Staatsorchesters Brauschweig and Orquesta Ciudad de Granada. He has taken part on plenty of recordings for radio and some others for television. Currently, he combines his activity as a singer with research work on Particle Physics at he University of Granada.

Alfonso Dumont Manzano - tenor

Born in Guadix (Granada), started his carrier as choralist when, at the age of fourteen, began his high school studies, and as he entered the choir I.B. Pedro Antonio de Alarcón. Despite his autodidactic learning, he became member of various choral groups at the city of Granada, choosing, along the years vocal chamber groups, in search of Renaissance and Baroque's repertory. He has performed in plenty of places in Spain, and has recorded for raido and television. From 1991 he's a member of Grupo Vocal Cristóbal de Morales, from Granada, where he sings as tenor and baritone. After several years researching on Pedagogy and Antropology fields, now his preparing the exam for becoming a high school teacher on Music skill.

Francisco Andrés García López - baritone

Born in Granada in 1963. His first education on music was received from his father, joining different church choirs since he was very young. Later he took musical lectures on Granada's and Guadix's conservatories and in various specialization courses (Manuel de Falla, etc) as well. He has been soloist baritone in some vocal groups, developing also conducting works and vocal advisering. He has worked with David van Asch, Esperanza Abad, Agnes Kauer, Jordi Casas and Harry Christophers, among others. He has achieved recordings for Spanish national radio and television. Now he is teacher, specialized in Musical Education.



Machú Gutiérrez, Pablo Heras, Javier Rico and Francisco García founded Parodiae Musica in March of 1997. Alfonso Dumont joined the group in May of 1998. Their experience as singers in symphonic choirs, chamber choirs, small vocal groups and as soloists is quite wide, and it lasts more than nine years in all cases. As Parodiae Musica they have participated in the I Certamen Internacional de Corales Polifónicas Ciudad de Sevilla (1st International Contest on Polyphonic Choirs Seville City) in November 1997, after a hard selection, getting an enthusiastic acceptance from the audience and critics.
