Seoul American High School, 1974-1977, Unofficial Pages

----------------------------

The Internet is a good way for us Brats to stick together. Since this page was created, I have been getting about 2-3 messages a year from people who went to SAHS and were looking for other people from their classes. And I have photos out

here at Flickr. These are the pictures from prints.

plus more here at Flickr. These are the pictures from slides.

Contacts

I'm in touch still with several alumni. If you want to get ahold of them, email me at mhb2 (at sign) georgetown. edu.

Joe Holcombe '67 no longer keeps a postal email address list. All the data has been moved to an email address list. The email address list (SAHS Email Brats) is located at http://www.khodges.com/brats. That page is maintained by Keith Hodges '67 keith.hodges@ adelphia .net. Go to the Email Brats page to get listed, get reunion news, see the In Memoriam page and have access to the list.

Craig McMurdo runs a SAHS reunion site at http://www.seoulamerican.com/. Definitely worth checking out.

The rest are just of people hanging out at various time during the school year.

Ken Herrera and Dane Brandt (20K) holding up my car. Dane is now a successful real estate agent/property manager/ real estate developer in Ft. Collins, Colorado

Bill Fowler and Mary Michaud (28K) Mary is wearing her graduation robes. I really don't know about Bill but it was probably something from the musical "Oklahoma."

Some class (40K) Dane Brandt, Dave Wilmot, Renee Hawn and Liz Fucella having a good laugh about something. Dave is wearing the classic "Class of 77." t-shirt. My ex-girlfriend got mine.

Another class (34K) which I suspect was Mr. Bidwell's government class. From L to R, Ralf Lund, Maria Rowan, Lisa Livingston trying to study, Riley with some of these slides on his desk and Mary Michaud looking at the slides.

Nicole Lee and Christa Knittle (27K) holding up the library (no, my ability to write captions hasn't gotten any better since I left the yearbook).

Dave Onaka (32K) with Riley Rainey. They both went to Texas A&M and I believe that they are secretly running the world.

Dave Onaka (29K) with Barb Moltzan eating lunch in Mr. Dickie's classroom.

A group of cheerleaders (38K) including Vivian Garcia, Linda Phillips and Theresa Yarnell. This was taken in the Gym, I suspect during the 75-76 school year.

People walking (49K) across campus, including two unknowns, Lucy Chaplin, David Drake, Mary Gorby and Leslie Dugan.

Another group (32K), in this case, Tracy Brown, Lisa Albro and another unknown.

Senior prom tickets (37K) Heather (no relation to Tony) Melton and Joan Morton sell Vicki Kennedy and Dustin Hess Junior Senior Prom tickets.

Weird Science (32K) Mary Michaud, Kathy Burpo and John Bakarich do Mr. Hubie's bidding.

People

Here are some pictures of classmates who had the misfortune to wander in front of me when I had my camera. If you see your picture here and it offends you, let me know and I'll remove it. If I put the wrong name up, let me know. Otherwise, enjoy.

Lisa Albro (26K) definitely one of the nicest people there. She was always pleasant and enjoyable to be around.

Jeff Burns (45K) studying hard as always in the science room. Only in college, did I learn that his dad had the distinction of being the last American general to visit South Vietnam.

Kathy Burpo (35K)
Kathy Burpo (36K) again, with Dave Onaka in the background. She smiled almost as much as Cheryl Emery.

Lucy Chaplin (48K) looking through yearbook pictures.

Mr. Dickie (40K) Mr. Dickie expounding on something French. He was the best yearbook advisor we had. In the back were the text books that we had gotten from good old Air America. I wonder how many people realized who was running it back then. Well, at least all the kids whose parents were with the Research Unit.

Dianne Drake (44K)

Cheryl Emery (31K) who would always smile for the camera.

Terri Emery (37K) modeling our class ring.

Renee "Hendrix" Hawn (37K)

Margaret Hurson (42K) Our senior class advisor wandering across the campus.

Becky James (42K) It was a windy day and Becky was trying to carry her lime green construction paper across campus. Notice that the papasan in back is holding his hat. And to the left is Ms. Hurson.
Becky James (34K) smelling a rose.

Joe Koehler (27K) going for the frisbee.

Ms. Kunz (34K) teaching her class. With her is Maria Rowan and Joan Morton.

Cindi Lee (36K) who doesn't have Internet access yet (right Tim?). When she gets it, I'll hear about this.

Nicole Lee (35K)
Nicole Lee, part 2 (30K) now Captain Lee, MD (maybe even Major).

Dave Liwanag (38K) with Dave Onaka in the background. Liwanag broke his foot after he was paradropped behind North Korean lines and fought his way across the DMZ. At least that's what I remember. Dave Onaka was taking pictures of trees for Mr. O'Brien's photography class.

Diane Losey (35K)

Betsy McClain (22K) studying hard.

Mr. McGuffin (25K) Who could forget him? He taught us the classic line, "We are from Mr. Markewitz's class."

Andrea McIntosh (22K) cool as always.

Tony Melton (32K) don't remember if this was posed or that he always looked like this. This was from Mr. Smith's English class.

Mary Michaud (32K)

Barb Moltzan (44K) who has promised me a more contemporary picture.
Barb again (38K) reacting to Dave Liwanag poking her.

Wendy Payne (27K)
Wendy Payne (46K) happy to be graduating.

Linda Phillips (45K) is the classic case of it being a small world. When I was in the Philippines, her family lived just behind our house. They transferred to India and then when we went to Korea, she was in my first class and sat right in front of me.

Riley Rainey (49K) and his drinking problems. We were doing our usual lunch in the officers club.
Riley Rainey (26K) and his Texas A&M belt buckle. Barb Moltzan is in the background.

Maria Rowan (22K) musing on life.

Mr. Shively (17K) with a beard and Riley's Believe it or Not on the board behind him. We dedicated our yearbook to him over certain associate editor's complaints.

Michele St. Denis (29K) I remember that she was not thrilled about me taking this picture. She was smart, I am sure that she figured out that it would be on the Internet some day.

Cindy Stroud (28K) trying to lean out of the picture.

Isabelle Vince (45K) talks over homework with Scott Lang.

Becky Wight (43K)

Wayne Wilcox (26K) dressed for success.
Wayne Wilcox (37K) ready for graduation.
