The book, written by historian and musicologist Marino Anesa, intends to present not only the historical events regarding this band, but also an exhaustive panorama of Clusonese musical activity, starting from the beginning of XIX century.
After a patient -more than a year long- search of the documentary sources, with a detailed survey of the rich archives of Clusone Parish and Town Hall, a very interesting picture emerged, seeing the presence in Clusone during the XIX century of the best among those conductors, singers and players who were active all over the province.
The publication is equipped with a precious and mostly unpublished-yet iconographical apparatus (historical and modern photographs of the different formations, portraits of the conductors, playbills, letters, archive documents and music scores).
