Classical Music is basically divided into several ages. The earliest classical music is that of the baroque era. This was from the late 16th century to the early 18th century. This was followed by the classical period, from around 1720 to the early 19th century. The romantic era followed, lasting from the early 19th century to the early 20th century. After this was the post-romantic era. 20th century classical music follows, and comes right up till today.
