The Renaissance Faire

I have recently discovered the fun of Renaissance Faires and regularly attend the one here in Virginia. Here are some pictures from that.

Thirty-minute Hamlet

The following pictures were taken as the Pandemonium Players performed their condensed version of Hamlet using "volunteers" from the audience.

My brother, Vincent and I were selected to be King Claudius and Queen Gertrude. I guess they thought we were a couple.

The lady in the Pandemonium Players insisted on being Hamlet, which left the gentleman with the role of Ophelia!

The play within the play, in which our dad played the king who was poisoned.

Have you ever seen a better dying scene? (The blond gentleman apparently hasn't!)

Guido Crescendo and Dirk Perfect, the Swordsmen; self-proclaimed bold and stupid men.

Me with the swordsmen, Guido and Dirk. There's a story to go with this picture, and one day I may get up the nerve to tell it!
