AT UNIVERSITI TEKNOLOGI MARA
COURSE PROFILE
BBA (HONS) FINANCE IS A TWO-YEAR POST-DIPLOMA PROGRAM
SPECIALLY DESIGNED FOR STUDENTS WHO ARE KEEN TO SPECIALIZE
IN THE FIELD OF FINANCE. THIS COURSE IS AIMED AT PROVIDING
STUDENTS WITH AN UNDERSTANDING OF THE PRINCIPLES AND
PRACTICES OF VARIOUS ASPECTS OF FINANCE IN THE BUSINESS WORLD.
SUBJECTS OFFERED INCLUDE A WIDE RANGE OF SUBJECTS SUCH AS
CORPORATE FINANCE, INVESTMENTS, PORTFOLIO MANAGEMENT,
MANAGEMENT OF FINANCIAL INSTITUTIONS, AND OTHER RELATED
BUSINESS SUBJECTS SUCH AS ECONOMICS, STATISTICAL METHODS,
MARKETING, ACCOUNTING, AND STRATEGIC MANAGEMENT.
CURRENTLY, THE COURSE IS OFFERED ON A FULL-TIME BASIS BY THE
FACULTY OF BUSINESS AND MANAGEMENT, AND ON A PART-TIME BASIS
THROUGH THE OFF-CAMPUS PROGRAM.
RECOGNITION
THE BBA (HONS) FINANCE IS RECOGNIZED BY THE PUBLIC SERVICE
DEPARTMENT AS EQUIVALENT TO AN HONORS DEGREE FROM A
LOCAL UNIVERSITY.
ADMISSION REQUIREMENT
APPLICATIONS ARE OPENED TO GRADUATES WHO HAVE A DIPLOMA
WITH GOOD GRADES FROM THEFACULTY OF BUSINESS AND MANAGEMENT OFUNIVERSITI TEKNOLOGI MARA , OR EQUIVALENT.
PREFERENCE WILL BE GIVEN TO CANDIDATES WITH WORK
EXPERIENCE IN THE RELATED FIELD.

GRADUATES OF BBA (HONS) FINANCE HAVE A WIDE CHOICE OF JOB OPPORTUNITIES. CURRENTLY, MANY HAVE CHOSEN TO WORK IN FINANCIAL INSTITUTIONS OR IN THE SECURITY INDUSTRY. A BBA (HONS) FINANCE GRADUATE MAY WORK AS A BANK OFFICER, CREDIT OFFICER, RESEARCH ANALYST, FUND OFFICER, DEALER, REMISIER, FINANCE OFFICER, ETC.
