First & Fastest magazine, Summer 2005. "Wilson Avenue: Uptown Union Station" by Graham Garfield. Excellent and in-depth article detailing both of Gerber's stations at Wilson Ave. in Chicago. In a ironic turn of events, Gerber's first station was replaced by a Frank Lloyd Wright design, which itself was replaced by yet another Gerber design all at the same corner! Coverage includes Gerber's McJunkin office building which was the architect's single largest design. As a sidenote, this issue also shows photos of Gerber's Ravinia and Winnetka stations. Pick it up, all you Gerber fans!

After a long, David vs. Goliath fight, Gerber's Dempster Street station is finally restored to its original glory. The first tenant is Starbucks! This article contains many historic photos and blueprints from J.J. Sedelmaier's collection.

Includes coverage of Arthur Gerber's Dempster St. station in Skokie which was moved to a new location prior to reopening later this year. Railroad Model Craftsman magazine (January 2003). Excellent prototype article entitled "The CNS&M's Mundelein Branch" details this North Shore Line operation and discusses Gerber's Mundelein station though the architect is not mentioned by name. The Mundelein station was a smaller, sister station of the Skokie station. Several good photos of this beautiful yet long-gone Gerber building.

Very good article by Ernest J. Schweit with many unique photos, including several of the station under construction in 1925. This general interest magazine serves the northern suburbs of Chicago and can be found at northshoremag.com.
Chicago Tribune (12/16/01); Transportation section, special article on restoring train stations. Gerber's Dempster St. station prominently featured with photographs. Great American Train Foundation listed as key factor saving station by adding it to the "10 Most Endangered" list.
Kenosha Bulletin, (06/25/01); "Seeing Double? Quadruple?" Good article by Dane Giles on Gerber's Kenosha station and the others at Mundelein, Dempster, and Highland Park (Ravinia Street) which shared a strong family resemblence.
